The fact that DC has a decent bowling lineup while being terrible with the bat plays quite nicely for this betting market. The bowling will help keep the CSK batters somewhat in check while the batting will not contribute too much to the six tally itself. This is where we would advise going big.
The Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions of the IPL and have looked the team toi beat in the first stages of IPL 2024 as well. They have won both their matches and now take on a struggling Delhi Capitals team still looking for its first win. Is this is the biggest mismatch in the IPL? Quite possibly.

DC is the home team in this contest even though the venue for this match is Visakhapatnam. That will be of little consolation to the team that has lost both its matches in IPL 2024 so far. Perhaps more important than those losses has been the inevitability of those results. Even when DC seems to be putting up a fight, you know it is going to take just one mistake for the entire team to crumble.
Team selection has been a big problem for DC and we don't think they can correct their path very easily. David Warner is past his best, Mitchell Marsh is a constant under-performer in IPL cricket, and Rishab Pant is far from his best right now. This makes the top order very vulnerable and only something outstanding from Marsh seems capable of something special to turn things around.
Whether he is actually going to do it is another question.
DC's bowling attack looked a bit better in the previous match with the inclusion of Anrich Nortje and Mukesh Kumar. Both of these fast bowlers are world-class even though they can be a bit expensive. Kuldeep Yadav is in terrific form and continues to pick wickets in most matches.
With Khaleel and Axar, DC has a bowling lineup that does not have any major weaknesses. Perhaps the time to replace someone like Sumit Kumar or Ricky Bhui has come so that Prithvi Shaw can get a run in the playing eleven as well.

Chennai Super Kings
CSK has not put a foot wrong in IPL 2024 so far. They have batted brilliantly and used their bowling resources very smartly. The addition of Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell to their lineup has made the team so much more dangerous that it is looking unstoppable at the moment.
Rachin Ravindra, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Duve, Daryl Mitchell, and a strong lower order to follow gives CSK a lot of depth. Dube is a proven spin-hitter and his battle with Kuldeep Yadav is going to be one to watch out for. As far as the bowling goes, Mustafizur Rahman has been the best of the lost so far with excellent support from Tushar Deshpande.
Deepak Chahar had good figures in the previous match but we think he may be targetted by the DC opening batters.
MS Dhoni has not had to do anything in the tournament so far and CSK has not been tested. It will be interesting to see how the team responds if it is pushed in a corner. While the batting for CSK is looking very well-settled, the bowling unit can be attacked.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. This is the first match of IPL 2024 at Visakhapatnam and teams would like to see how the wicket behaves before batting on it.
