Gujarat Titans’ winning momentum has largely gone hand in hand with their top order batting going ballistic, while their Indian pacers relish in doing the job with the ball.
Delhi Capital’s strengths will need to be on show in this fixture. They have variation with a good litter of key left-arm pace and spin bowlers. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will need to make life difficult for Gujarat on this surface.
This match is expected to be exciting but will arguably mean more for the home team.

There are no reported injury concerns within either squad at this time. Jake Fraser-McGurk of Delhi Capitals will be unavailable going forward and has been replaced by Mustafizur Rahman
The Arun Jaitley Stadium pitch is expected to be mostly consistent and produce some high-scoring totals. The venue’s short boundaries and fast outfield further enhance scoring opportunities. Spinners may find some assistance as the match progresses but are likely to be overshadowed by the brilliance of the batting. Despite it being home conditions, in theory, Delhi Capitals have lost three out of four of their home games in Delhi.
Former England captain Jos Buttler has generally been a class above the rest across all global T20 leagues. The wicketkeeper-batter can boast of more than 12500 runs in T20s. He has crossed the 100-run mark on eight instances in T20s with an unthinkable 89 times over the 50-run mark in the shortest format too.
Despite still finding his groove this year, Faf du Plessis has still managed to rattle off two half-centuries in seven innings. Tristan Stubbs has produced an impressive batting average over 50 and strike rate over 150, despite not surpassing the milestone mark yet. He has made a habit of quickfire unbeaten knocks. Shubman Gill has 508 runs in IPL 2025.
The right-handed opening batter fell ten runs short of his first century of the tournament with his high score of 90. He has a T20I century. Sai Sudharsan has had his best season where IPL half-centuries are concerned. He has five this season. His overall T20 career features one century and 13 half-centuries.
Axar Patel has given his team a bit of everything to work with. He has five wickets this tournament, while maintaining steady batting performances with the second-highest strike rate of all his IPL seasons.
Mitchell Starc will look to do what he does best and take more wickets in clusters. He has two IPL four-wicket hauls and his maiden IPL five-wicket haul in 2025. Thangarasu Natarajan has had limited impact in IPL 2025, but when he made his first appearance, he immediately took a wicket in an abandoned match against Punjab Kings.
*Update* Mitchell Starc will not be joining the Delhi Capitals for the remainder of IPL 2025.
Gerald Coetzee made his Gujarat Titans debut in this edition. He had previously taken 13 wickets for Mumbai Indians in 2024 before taking two in two matches for Gujarat in 2025. Prasidh Krishna’s 2025 IPL exploits should earn him the title of one of your top choices in your Dream11 lineup. He became the first bowler this season to take 20 wickets.
Jos Buttler’s current batting average of 71.42 far exceeds those of his Gujarat Titans teammates, to underscore his dominant form. His 163.93 highlights his brute force too.
Left-handed Sai Sudharsan is looking as sharp as ever. This season’s IPL efforts will push his case for more honours in the blue of India. His T20 career batting average of 41.24 gives evidence of the class of the opener.
Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are likely to be two bankers for your lineup. Their performances across all pitches have been impressive but should be highlighted on a pitch where batters thrive. Delhi all-rounder and captain Axar Patel is a useful pick as a batter who knows how to deliver a knockout blow with bat or ball.
Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj may need to work harder for their wickets on this type of pitch. They may have their moments with the new ball. A spinner like Kuldeep Yadav could turn the tables with your Dream11 points scoring.
Jos Buttler takes the cake here with 1048 Dream11 fantasy points
Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler are a group of batters all with 500 runs or more this season. Sudharsan is top with 509 runs
Prasidh Krishna has not given batters any breathing room with his 20 wickets in 11 matches
Jos Buttler has looked the business with him smashing a blistering 22 sixes in 11 innings
Gerald Coetzee has a strike rate of 200 after one innings. Rahul Tewatia with 191.43 after nine innings has produced more regularly than the South African
Thangarasu Natarajan has played his part with an economy of 3.43. That is only after one game, so we will see if he can stand the test of time. Kuldeep Yadav with 7.12 has been decent for longer
