Scotland is the 13th-ranked team according to the recent ICC rankings and looks a considerably weaker team, at least on paper. But the ranking does not paint the full picture of the team’s potential.
Scotland put up a brilliant performance in the T20 World Cup played earlier this year, scoring huge wins over teams like Oman and Namibia. They gave the defending champions, England, a huge scare but lost out on a place in the Super Eights due to an inferior NRR.

Scotland has retained its full 15-member squad from the World Cup and has made two additions in the form of Charlie Cassell and Jasper Davidson.
