SCT vs AUS Team Previews
Scotland
Scotland is the 13th-ranked team according to the recent ICC rankings and looks a considerably weaker team, at least on paper. But the ranking does not paint the full picture of the team’s potential.
Scotland put up a brilliant performance in the T20 World Cup played earlier this year, scoring huge wins over teams like Oman and Namibia. They gave the defending champions, England, a huge scare but lost out on a place in the Super Eights due to an inferior NRR.
The team will now look to redeem itself in this tournament. Scotland has retained its full 15-member squad from the World Cup and has made two additions in the form of Charlie Cassell and Jasper Davidson. George Munsey and Michael Jones will likely open the batting for the team in this match, while Richie Berrington, Brandon McMullen, and Mathew Cross will add heft to the middle order.
Charlie Cassell is likely to earn his maiden T20 call-up and will join Safyaan Sharif and Brad Wheal in the pace department while Michael Leask and Matt Watt will feature in the spin attack.

Australia
Australia hasn’t played much international cricket since the end of the T20 World Cup. Most of its players are well-rested and will be raring to have a go.
Mitchell Marsh will lead the 14-men squad to Scotland which is touring without the top 3 pacers, viz Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc.
The seam attack will now be led by the relatively inexperienced trio of Riley Meredith, Xavier Bartlett, and Nathan Ellis, with all-rounders Marcus Stoinis, Cameron Green, and Aaron Hardie playing a supporting role.
The spin attack consists of Adam Zampa and Marsh. However, there is no shortage of talent and firepower when it comes to the batting. Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk could potentially form a devastating opening pair, while Cooper Connolly, who can play some big shots in the middle overs, is likely to earn his first international call.
Overall, the visitors have a well-balanced squad at their disposal.

Pitch and Conditions
The pitch at the Grange Cricket Club is good to bat on during the first half. There is a good amount of pace and bounce, and the ball comes nicely onto the bat, allowing players to score runs. The average first-inning score here is around 175.
However, as the match progresses, the surface becomes two-paced and the spinners will get plenty of help.
The weather is likely to be cloudy with temperatures of around 15 degrees.
SCT vs AUS Betting Tips
Despite the fact that Scotland has been a consistent performer in their recent outings, they are no match for a quality side like Australia and are unlikely to win here.
Bet on Australia to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The pitch at the Grange provides some help to the bowlers if they hit the right areas. Each of the last 5 T20 matches played here have seen at least 13 wickets fall and we are expecting a similar outcome here.
Australia has a strong batting unit made up of some explosive batsmen. As they face a relatively weaker Scottish bowling attack on a good batting track, we are most likely to see at least a couple of big overs.
