Cricbaba comes with a Curacao license, which is better than nothing but not great. It means this betting site operates legally wherever this license is accepted, but the Curacao jurisdiction is not necessarily helpful to customers who may have been wronged.
It is certainly better than no license but usually means for us that we like to keep a close eye on a betting site before we deem it entirely trustworthy. Of course, Cricbaba is also still a fairly new venture. They launched in India in 2022, though they claim to have been founded in 2016 and having established itself as a well-known brand in Europe.
However, we have never heard of them before and some of us are from Europe and have been looking at betting sites far longer than since 2016.
It is quite possible that the company behind Cricbaba has been around that long, though, and in any case, we couldn’t find anything outright negative about Cricbaba or something that seems dodgy or fraudulent.
As a newer betting site, there aren’t many reviews about them out yet, so we will judge them based on our own experiences in any case.
Cricket betting and other sports
The selection of sports to bet on at Cricbaba is certainly good. There are over 25 of them, including specials and e-Sports. But you will notice that there are not as many events to bet on as elsewhere.
This is the main drawback we encountered with their sportsbook. At the time of our review, these cricket events were available for betting:
- Twenty20 International
- Twenty20 International Women
- T20 World Cup
- World Cup
- Saturday Championship League
Those were the pre-match events available for betting. We also made sure to check the live betting section, where we found more options to bet on:
- One Day International India v South Africa
- T20 Asia Cup Women
- ICC World Cup (U19)
This suggests that more events are popping up for betting as they go live, which is great for everyone who enjoys live betting.
The odds available seemed to be alright, though not excellent. Smaller betting sites often can’t afford to offer the best odds, but you should be alright with what you can get here.
We were happy to see that kabaddi betting is also available at Cricbaba, though again, the selection remains small. Only the Pro Kabaddi League was showing up with a handful of markets to bet on.
Of course, football is the biggest category with over a thousand events to bet on and plenty of markets as well as competitive odds. Tennis and other popular sports were also featured, but there was not betting on horse races available at Cricbaba.
Whilst live betting is offered and plenty of options are available, keep in mind that Cricbaba does not offer live streaming or any live animations or commentary.
Games and more
Whilst the events portfolio of Cricbaba has room to grow, you wouldn’t say the same about the online casino library. The casino and live casino sport showcase over 3,600 games in total, which is impressive indeed.
Not only will you find some of the best online casino providers here that are currently operating, but the variety of games is also great. From slots to video poker, table games and a plethora of live tables, it never gets boring here.
We were happy to see Yggdrasil, NetEnt, Quickspin, Microgaming, Thunderkick, Play’n GO, Push Gaming and many of our other favourite developers here, adding not just all-time classics to the portfolio but also the newest and best games currently out there.
Players from India will also enjoy the selection of Andar Bahar and Teen Patti games alongside some other favourites in Bollywood-themed games more and more developers are coming up with.
Plus, there are jackpots! Yes, not just Holmes and the Stolen Stones or Divine Fortune with their smaller jackpots, but Joker Millions and Mega Moolah with the massive progressive jackpots that can win you millions in an instant. That’s always great to see and we appreciate it here.
Promotions and bonuses
Among the handful of bonuses and promotions available at Cricbaba, we found two welcome offers. One for sports and one for the casino. Let’s take a look:
- Get a 100% match bonus for your first deposit and up to INR 10,000
- The minimum amount to deposit is INR 1,000 if you wish to claim the bonus via the ‘Purchase’ option
- Deposit and bonus must be wagered 15x before winnings can be withdrawn
- Bets on any sports event (pre-match and live) with minimum odds of 1.80 or higher are eligible
- Not all markets are eligible for this bonus, however
- Wagering must be completed within 30 days
- The maximum bonus withdrawal amount is 10x the bonus amount
- Only one active bonus is allowed at a time
Of course, you must read the full terms and conditions anyway, especially when it comes to the exceptions that may apply.
We find the wagering requirements quite steep, though, but you do get 30 days to attempt to complete them. We generally recommend you don’t claim the full bonus amount, however, as it is more realistic to try and complete wagering with a smaller amount.
With the casino welcome bonus new players can get up to INR 30,000 on their first deposit. For this bonus, deposit and bonus need to be wagered 35x and wagering must be completed within 14 days. The maximum possible withdrawal amount from the bonus is 30x the bonus.
Beyond these offers, we were happy to see a general sports free bet offer, a cricket free bet, a lightning roulette free bet as well as a weekly cashback offer.
Whilst Cricbaba doesn’t have a dedicated payments page that is linked to the homepage, they do have an FAQ section with a separate payments section, where all available payment options are listed as well as the withdrawal limits and a quick explanation of how they work.
This is useful and not difficult to locate, which we appreciate. Here are the deposit and withdrawal methods available at Cricbaba:
- Visa and MasterCard
- UPI (with PayTM, GPay and PhonePe as available options)
Depending on the method you choose, the minimum deposit is INR 200 and the maximum withdrawal amount up to INR 1,000,000.
Further limits are not detailed anywhere. We also made sure to check the terms and conditions, where nothing is mentioned. We do expect that there could be weekly or monthly withdrawal limits, which is often the case for smaller betting sites. Do be sure to check with customer service if that is something that worries you.
Finally, Cricbaba also has to adhere to international KYC and AML laws, which means you will need to get your ID verified with them, which you should get done sooner rather than later.
The customer service team at Cricbaba will answer your questions via email, web form or live chat 24/7. The FAQ section is somewhat limited, providing only links where you can find further information but no actual frequently asked questions and their answers. This is where you can find the info for the payment methods as well, but we would certainly like to see further information of a more general kind.
The information we have been able to find is generally quite useful and easy to understand, which is why the lack of a proper FAQ section seems somewhat baffling.
So, if you can’t find what you are looking for on the site, you will need to use the live chat or email to get answers to your questions.
Cricbaba uses a simple design that doesn’t fall back on gimmicks. The site loads quickly and works smoothly and is clearly optimised for mobile use. The colour scheme also suggests that customers from India are the main audience here.
We found the sportsbook very easy to navigate, which makes it suitable for newbie punters as well.
The bet slip works nicely as well, adding to the overall great user experience we enjoyed here. Sometimes simplicity is best.
The casino is also well sorted and easy to use, so no complaints here.
As mentioned, the site is optimised for mobile use, meaning you can use it on your mobile device of any size and operating system and enjoy a smooth interface here as well.
There is no dedicated mobile app, however, though we didn’t find this to be an issue.
