Bons Review

Bons is still a fairly new player in the market and has not yet established much of a reputation. We’ve noticed that they’ve received positive reviews in general, which is always good to see. But there are not a lot of player reviews available that would give us a better indication as to how well they perform with customers.

Still, even if there are not many reviews on the whole, there is also nothing overtly negative jumping out. Usually, customers tend to be quite quick when it comes to calling out fraudulent practices, delayed payouts, illegitimate account closures and horrible customer service. We have not found anything along those lines, which is usually an indicator that things are going reasonably well.

That said, Bons can only really be judged in the long term and on its own merit. The company behind the bookmaker is a relative unknown and they only have a Curacao license, which is generally not good enough if we want to ensure excellent customer protection.

So, as usual, we recommend you test Bons thoroughly by making small deposit and bets and several withdrawals before committing to them with more of your money.

Cricket betting and other sports

The sportsbook at Bons left us a little confused. From other reviews we’ve seen that Bons supposedly covers over 30 sports and special events to bet on, but we were not able to confirm that. Indeed, we found markets for cricket, football, basketball, baseball, table tennis, ice hockey and a few esports. And that was that.

Of course, most of you are obviously interested in cricket betting, so that’s good. We found markets for events such as:

  • Vitality T20 Blast
  • European Series T10
  • International Test Series
  • World Cup
  • Twenty20 World Cup
  • The Ashes
  • Caribbean Premier League
  • Big Bash League

Events that were just around the corner were covered with several dozen betting options, whilst events that were further in the future usually only offered outright bets on the winner. There is little doubt that when these events are coming up, more markets will become available.

But as you can see, Bons mostly covers big international events, which means you are unlikely to see odds for smaller test series.

We are a little stumped over the fact that so few sports are offered in the sportsbook. Not even tennis is available to bet on, even though there are still major events running and coming up soon. Since most events you can bet on are not far in the future, Bons may be one of those bookmakers that only adds markets once events are coming up.

There is a separate live betting section, however. You will find the same sports available here and can check out current betting options.

Bons does not have live streaming.

Bons casino review

Casino fans have nothing to complain about at Bons. The casino section is expansive, and you can find tons of games here from suppliers such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Wazdan, Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, Playson, Quickspin, Yggdrasil Gaming and many more.

What surprised us the most is the number of jackpot games available here. Almost always, casinos licensed only through Curacao will not feature the big jackpot games such as Mega Moolah or others. But Bons not only features Mega Moolah and WowPot, but also various massive Playtech jackpot games and many of the smaller local jackpots such as Divine Fortune, Jackpot Raiders and the Must Fall jackpots from Red Tiger.

That’s excellent news for everyone who wants to chase some big wins.

Slots aside, table games and video poker are also available at Bons. There are dozens of them to choose from.

The live casino section is somewhat smaller, but there are great table games from Evolution Gaming and Playtech. Players from India will even find a version of Andar Bahar here.

Promotions and bonuses

When we did our review of Bons, we were unable to view the sign-up offer. Whilst it is listed in the ‘promotions’ section, clicking on it did not redirect us to a separate page where the bonus conditions would be listed. It is unclear whether that is a glitch or whether there simply was no separate page.

We do know that new players can claim a Bons bonus of up to 200% on their first deposit. The minimum deposit required is INR 2,000, and depending on how much new customers deposit, the wagering requirements are between 25x and 30x. The minimum odds to bet on with bonus money to meet the wagering requirements are 1.4. Unused bonuses expire after 30 days.

Aside from a welcome bonus, players will also be able to claim regular cashback offers and join various tournaments on baccarat, blackjack or slot games, where prizes can be won.

Additionally, there is a VIP program, which takes your betting activity into consideration and offers regular rebates.

Banking options

Bons is another bookmaker that does not have a separate page for banking information. All available deposit and withdrawal method are shown at the bottom of the homepage, where you can even scroll from left to right to see the various methods. These include:

  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)
  • AstroPay
  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • ecoPayz
  • Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether)
  • PhonePe
  • UPI payments
  • Net Banking
  • PayTM

The terms and conditions are quite exhaustive when it comes to the details of requesting a withdrawal, which is helpful but requires some research. For instance, players cannot request a withdrawal as long as there is an active bonus on the account.

Additionally, players can make two withdrawals per day without an additional charge, but fees apply thereafter. The maximum withdrawal amount per week is $5,000 and per month $100,000 (or the currency equivalent).

Once cumulative withdrawal requests of $1,000 are made, Bons will require customers to go through the KYC process and have their IDs checked. This is something we generally recommend should be done prior to making the first withdrawal request anyway.

Apart from the terms and conditions, Bons does not have a separate help section or even FAQs to supply advance information. There is a page for betting rules, which is better than nothing, but once you do have a problem or a question you cannot find an answer to, you will need to hit the ‘contact us’ link, which opens up a little window, where you enter your name and email address as well as your query. Then you hit the ‘chat’ button and a live chat is launched.

We would really like to see more information on the homepage with a help section and even a separate page for banking here. As it is, Bons is still quite new and hopefully this is something that will be added in the future.

Bons takes its inspiration from arcade games of the 80s when it comes to the visuals on the homepage. You can see it in the casino logo, which looks somewhat pixelated and most obviously in the casino, where the moving banners show graphics that are reminiscent of the arcade game look. That’s charming and a little different, but it’s not something that really shows up in the sportsbook.

Indeed, the homepage is, for the most part, very modern and very flexible. You can tuck away the list of sports on the left-hand side via a small arrow. And the same is true of the bet slip, which sits on the right-hand side and can also be tucked away.

That leaves a lot of room for the main screen, where you can check out current events and odds. It is also extremely useful that you can still easily access the various sports via a small menu of icons that remains visible on the left-hand side. We really liked that as it is very well done.

The only part of the page we had problems with was the promotions page, where we couldn’t access all promotions to see more details. At some point the whole site crashed as well, which made a relaunch necessary. That sort of thing can be a nuisance, of course.

The Bons website is fully mobile optimised and works nicely on any mobile device. Additionally, there's also a Bons App that can be downloaded from the official Bons website.

We liked quite a few things about Bons, which includes the design of the sportsbook and casino. But can we recommend Bons to cricket betting afficionados? Well, there are plenty of better sportsbooks out there for you. The sports betting action here was extremely limited when we reviewed the bookmaker. If you are only looking for cricket and football betting with a decent side of esports odds, you’ll be satisfied with what Bons can offer. There simply isn’t much else, which seemed strange.

One major advantage is the casino, which offers great games and an excellent selection of jackpot games, which can be difficult to find for customers in India due to the limitations of Curacao-licensed casinos. Here you can try and chase big jackpots, however, which may just be an incentive to check Bons out if you don’t mind the limited sportsbook.

Bons does quite a few things quite well, but there is also tons of room to improve and expand.
