Betting Tips

Total runs in the highest-scoring over of the match - Over 15.5

1.80

The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is balanced and provides plenty of opportunities for the batters to score runs once they settle down. Two of the 4 matches played here in this tournament have seen 16 or more runs scored in at least one over. Since both teams have some clean strikers of the ball, we are expecting a couple of big overs in this match as well.

Highest opening partnership - India

1.70

The Sri Lankan openers have struggled to get going in this tournament and have failed to reach double digits in both the games they have played so far. On the other hand, India’s openers have put up a partnership of at least 11 runs in the two games they have played.

INDW vs SLW Team Previews

India Women

After losing its opening fixture against New Zealand, India huffed and puffed its way to a victory against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday. Nevertheless, the team earned two important points and is very much in the race for the playoffs.

India’s batting in this tournament hasn’t been the best and that is something that the team needs to work on. The opening pair of Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana has been unable to give the team a good start so far. India needs at least one of them to get going during the powerplay if they want to post a big total.

Similarly, the likes of Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Deepti Sharma will have to convert their starts into big scores. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played well in the game against Pakistan and almost saw the team home until a sprained neck saw her walk off the field.

It remains to be seen if she gets fit before this match. The bowlers have done a better job. Arundhati Reddy is the best bowler so far and has picked up 4 wickets.

Renuka Singh will join her in the pace department. The spin attack consists of Deepti Sharma, Shreyanka Patil, and Asha Sobhana, who have picked up 5 wickets among themselves.

Sri Lanka Women

Sri Lanka has suffered back-to-back losses in its first two matches and is now on the verge of getting knocked out of the tournament. Even if they win this match, their chances of making it to the playoffs remain bleak.

Just like India, the Sri Lankan batting has been very disappointing. Skipper Chamari Athapaththu, who is usually pretty consistent with the bat, has struggled at the top of the order and so has her opening partner, Vishmi Gunaratne.

The middle order has some experienced batters as well like Harshitha Samarawickrama, Anushka Sanjeewani, and Nilakshi de Silva but they too are yet to strike form. Sri Lanka hasn’t been able to reach a triple-digit score so far and that speaks volumes about their poor batting form.

Coming to the bowling, Sugandika Kumari and Udeshika Prabodhani are the leading wicket-takers for the team with 4 wickets each. Athapaththu bowled well in the previous game to pick up 3 wickets, albeit for a losing cause.

INDW vs SLW Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch in Dubai hasn’t been the easiest to bat on in this tournament. The average first-inning score here is around 130 runs. The surface is a bit tacky and there is plenty of help on offer for both, the seamers and the spinners. Playing the big shots isn’t the easiest and the batters have to settle down before they can start doing so.

Anything over 150 will be a challenge to chase.

The weather is likely to be warm with temperatures of around 33 degrees.

INDW vs SLW Betting Tips

Both teams are yet to strike their best form and we can expect a close contest between the two teams. Looking at the record, we feel that India is at an advantage here, thanks to a strong and deep batting unit and a well-balanced bowling attack.

Bet on India Women to win.
