Smriti Mandhana was prolific in the ODI format last year. She scored 91 and 53 runs in the first two games of the series. There is a good chance of this bet coming through.
The Indian women put together a hundred-run partnership in the first couple of games of the series. You can expect them to assemble another significant partnership for the first wicket and outscore the West Indies openers.
The openers Mandhana and Rawal were in devastating form in the last two games of the series. We think this is an easy bet to recommend and to take a punt on.
The third and final encounter of the ODI series between Indian women and West Indies women will be played at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on December 27th. Indian Women have already pocketed the bilateral ODI series by taking an irrefutable 2-0 lead in the competition. Let's peek at the match preview, pitch report, match prediction, and betting tips for this encounter.
The women's cricket teams of India and West Indies have played against each other on twelve occasions in the ODI format. Indian Women lead this head-to-head 11-2. Indian women have succeeded in winning the last five games against their West Indies counterparts.
This one-day international series between the two countries will be telecast live on the Sports18 channels in India. Viewers can also enjoy the game on the JioCinema app and site.
After a few defeats against the Australian women, Indian women have put together two wins in a row over West Indies women. They trounced the opposition by a significant margin of 115 runs in the second game of the series.
The Indian top and middle orders were in scintillating form in the game, scoring 358 runs while losing five wickets in their fifty overs. Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal scored half-centuries to provide a whirlwind start to the Indian inning, scoring 110 runs in 16.3 overs.
However, the main perpetrator of the Indian big score was Harleen Deol, who scored 115 runs from just 103 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues also scored 52 runs from 36 balls with six fours and one six to provide the necessary impetus towards the end of the innings.
Priya Mishra led the Indian bowling challenge with three wickets from 92 overs. Deepti Sharma, Pratika Rawal, and Titas Sadhu also picked up two wickets each. These players will again be looked up to score runs and pick up wickets in this contest.
West Indies women are having a torrid time in their tour of India. They have also lost five games in the ODI format in a row. They will be desperate for a consolation win in this last series match.
Although the West Indies bowlers picked up some wickets during the Indian innings, none of them could do a containment job except Karishma Ramharack. She bowled her ten overs for 46 runs, and although she did not pick any wickets, her figures were reasonable. Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Zaima James, and Qiana Joseph were the bowlers who picked up a wicket apiece.
West Indies women did show some spirit during the chase, with Hayley Matthews top-scoring with 106 runs from 109 balls with 13 fours. The wicket-keeper batter, Shemaine Campbell, was the only other batter who made a decent contribution with the bat with 38 runs.
West Indies women kept losing wickets regularly, and after Matthews got out, there was not much resistance from the middle and lower order. West Indies women have their work cut out in the final match of the contest. These players will have to play out of their skins to beat Indian women in this sort of mood.
The first couple of games in the series have seen the team batting first raise a big total and win the game easily. Indian batters put together scores in excess of 300 runs on both occasions. Therefore, the skipper winning the coin flip will look to bat first and put the opposition under pressure in the second innings.
This pitch at the Reliance Stadium will assist everyone. The bowlers will initially get pace and bounce from the track, but the stroke players will also enjoy the ball coming onto the bat nicely. The outfield at the Kotambi Stadium is lightning quick, and the batters will get full value for their shots. The weather conditions for this game will mostly be pleasant and sunny.
There is no chance of getting showers during this game.
It will take a brave man to bet against Indian Women in this contest, even though it is a dead rubber. The way they won the first couple of games on the same track would have demoralized the opposition. The West Indies women put up some fight in the second match but we think they are out-skilled in this contest by a massive margin.
Overall, we think Indian women will be the favorites to win this contest.
Bet on Indian Women to win.
