Brandon King to score Under 24.5 runs

Brandon King hasn’t been in the best of form in this series and has scored in single digits in both his outings. He has scored less than 25 runs in 8 of his last 9 matches and has never reached double-digits against Pakistan.

Shaheen Shah Afridi to pick up Over 1.5 wickets

Shaheen Shah Afridi is Pakistan’s best bowler at the moment. He has picked up at least 2 wickets in 6 of his last 9 outings, and we are backing him to bowl a good spell here.

WI vs PAK Team Previews

West Indies

After a disappointing performance in the first ODI, the hosts came back stronger in the last match as they won the encounter to keep the 3-match series alive. They will now hope to continue with the same momentum and clinch their first bilateral series win against Pakistan since 1991/92.

However, there are quite a few areas where the hosts need to work on. Brandon King’s form at the top of the order is a concern for them. He has been dismissed for single-digit scores in both games and will hope to bat better here. He will be once again joined by Evin Lewis.

The middle order has been a big strength for the home team. Roston Chase has been the pillar of strength in the batting line-up, scoring 45+ runs in both his outings. He is the leading run-scorer of this series. He has been well-supported by Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford.

Justin Greaves, who was brought in for Romario Shepherd in the previous match, contributed well with the bat and is likely to retain his place.

Coming to the bowling, the West Indies is likely to retain its core pace attack consisting of Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph, and Jediah Blades, while Gudakesh Motie will lead the spin department.

West Indies Expected Playing 11

Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (C & WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Justin Greaves, Jediah Blades, Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie

Pakistan

Pakistan will be disappointed with the outcome of the previous match. The batting was below par, and that is something that the team needs to improve on going ahead.

The opening pair of Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique gave Pakistan a decent start and are likely to retain their place at the top of the order. However, the failure of two of the team’s most experienced batsmen had a cascading effect on the middle order, and that affected the outcome of the match.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan need to perform better if Pakistan wants to win here. Hasan Nawaz continues to impress lower down the order, but the all-rounders Salman Agha and Mohammad Nawaz have struggled.

Shaheen Shah Afridi continues to lead the seam attack and will be joined by Hasan Ali with the new ball, while Abrar Ahmed will lead the spin department.

Pakistan Expected Playing 11

Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan (C & WK), Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, Salman Agha

WI vs PAK Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The pitch at the Brian Lara Stadium is tricky. The batsmen need to be careful while facing the new ball as there is a good amount of pace and bounce, as well as movement off the seam. Batting gets slightly easier in the second half, but anything over 270-280 will be difficult to chase.

WI vs PAK: Who Will Win?

We are backing Pakistan to win this match. While they did lose the previous match, we expect them to bounce back and play better cricket here. That said, the West Indies have shown what they are capable of, and we can expect a good contest here. In a full match, uniinterrupted by rain, we think Pakistan's quality (particularly with the ball) will shine.

Bet on Pakistan to win.

WI vs PAK win percentage stands at 65% in favor of Pakistan.

Todays Match Prediction: Pakistan to Win.
