WI vs PAK Betting Tips

Mohammad Rizwan to score Over 30.5 runs

Mohammad Rizwan is the second-highest run-scorer for Pakistan this year and has an average of over 43 runs in his 9 innings. He has scored two half-centuries in his last 4 matches against the West Indies and has scored at least 31 runs in 5 of his last 8 innings. We are therefore backing him to play a good knock here.

Naseem Shah to pick up Over 1.5 wickets

Naseem Shah has been one of the most consistent bowlers for Pakistan in recent ODIs. He has picked up at least two wickets in 4 of his last 6 matches. As the pitch at the Brian Lara Stadium helps the bowlers, Shah could once again play an important role with the ball

WI vs PAK Team Previews

West Indies

The West Indies’ poor run across formats has spilled over to the ODIs as well. After losing a Test series against Australia and a couple of T20 series against Australia and Pakistan, they are now starting at yet another series defeat, this time in the 50-over format.

The batsmen did a good job in the first ODI, helping the team post a par score. The hosts are likely to keep the batting order unchanged, with Evin Lewis and Brandon King likely to open the batting yet again. Lewis was in good form in the last match as he scored a half-century, but the team will expect better from Brandon King.

The middle order has a plethora of all-rounders, including Romario Shepherd, Sherfane Rutherford, Keacy Carty, and Roston Chase. All of them are capable batsmen and can play a vital role. Skipper Shai Hope appears to be in good touch as well and will add heft to the middle order.

The bowling from the West Indies wasn’t up to the mark, and that is something that the team needs to improve if they want to get back to winning ways. The seam attack consists of Shamar Joseph, Jediah Blades, and Jayden Seales, but all of them were pretty expensive in the first ODI.

Gudakesh will feature as a specialist spinner and will be supported by Roston Chase.

West Indies Expected Playing 11

Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (C & WK), Keacy Carty, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Roston Chase, Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales, Jediah Blades, Shamar Joseph

Pakistan

Pakistan will be delighted with the outcome of the last match. The team performed well as a unit, with almost all the players contributing at various stages of the match.

Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique will open the batting for Pakistan in this match. Ayub has been in excellent form throughout this tour and will hope to give Pakistan a good start. Pakistan’s biggest strength could be its middle order, as they have a good mix of young and experienced batsmen there.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were both in good form in the last match as they stitched a 55-run partnership. Rizwan scored an excellent half-century as well. Hasan Nawaz, who is making his ODI debut in this series, scored 63 runs and looks quite impressive.

In addition, Pakistan will also avail the services of all-rounders including Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Agha. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah make up a strong new-ball attack and they picked up 7 wickets in the previous game. Sufiyan Muqeem continues to lead the spin department.

Pakistan Expected Playing 11

Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan (C & WK), Salman Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Sufiyan Muqeem

WI vs PAK Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The pitch at the Brian Lara Stadium is likely to be balanced. The quicker bowlers will get some movement off the seam when the ball is new. However, once the batsmen settle down, playing shots will get easier. A score of around 285 is a par score. There are some dry patches on the surface, which could help the slower bowlers get some turn.

The weather is likely to remain overcast throughout the day, and we can expect some scattered rain.

WI vs PAK: Who Will Win?

We are backing Pakistan to win this match. They have played some good cricket on this tour and seem to have found a good balance of players. The West Indies need to perform better as a unit if they want to turn things around and that seems unlikely right now.

Bet on Pakistan to win.

WI vs PAK win percentage stands at 65% in favor of Pakistan.

Todays Match Prediction: Pakistan to Win.
