Just like with the T20 format, the West Indies havenāt been in the best of form in the ODIs as well. The last time they played an ODI was back in June, when they suffered a whitewash against England in a 3-match series.
Brandon King and Evin Lewis are likely to open the batting for the West Indies in this match. King has been in decent form over the last couple of months, but has been rather inconsistent. Lewis, too, has had his struggles against the new ball. A lot will depend on Shai Hope and Keacy Carty.
They were among the top scorers for the team in the series against England and will hope to perform even better here. In addition to the duo, the West Indies is likely to include Sherfane Rutherford, Justin Greaves, and Roston Chase to strengthen its batting.
Alzarri Joseph and Jayden Seales are likely to lead the attack with the new ball, while Gudakesh Motie and Akeal Hosein are likely to be the two spinners on the squad.

Pakistan put up an excellent performance in the T20 series last week. While they did lose one match, they held their nerve in the last match to clinch the series. They will now hope to make a positive start to the 50-over format as well.
Pakistan has made quite a few changes to the squad that played in Lauderhill. The biggest ones include the return of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. They bring in plenty of experience and talent to the batting line-up. Saim Ayub, Salman Agha, Mohammad Haris, Hussain Talat, and Faheem Ashraf retain their place, adding heft to the top and middle order.
Hasan Nawaz has received his maiden ODI call-up. He was pretty consistent in the T20 series and will look to put up a similar performance here. Coming to the bowling, Abrar Ahmed and Sufiyan Muqeem retain their place in the spin department.
However, Haris Rauf has been tested for this leg and will be replaced by Naseem Shah. He will join Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali in the pace department.

This stadium has hosted only one ODI to date, and that was won while chasing. We, therefore, feel that the team winning the toss will likely opt to field first.
The pitch at the Brian Lara Stadium is expected to be flat and a bit on the dry side. The bounce here is a bit uneven, and the bowlers who vary their line and length will get success here. The batsmen will find it a bit difficult to play their shots initially, but once they settle down, they can play with more confidence.
The spinners can expect some grip and turn during the latter half. The weather is likely to remain overcast throughout the day, and we can expect some rain to interrupt play.
We are backing Pakistan to win this match. They recently won the T20 leg and will be feeling pretty confident heading into this series. This also marks the return of some of the senior players, and the team has a well-balanced squad at its disposal.
Bet on Pakistan to win.
WI vs PAK win percentage stands at 61% in favor of Pakistan.
