NZ vs WI Betting Tips

West Indies total runs before fall of 1st wicket - Under 17.5

The West Indies’ openers have struggled on this tour, failing to give the team a good start in all three games. As they face a strong new-ball pair of Jamieson and Duffy, we reckon they won’t be able to give West Indies a good start.

Michael Bracewell to score Under 15.5 runs

Bracewell hasn’t been in the best of form in this series and has failed to cross the 15-run mark in all three matches. He has crossed that threshold only once in the last 7 innings. He has never scored more than 11 runs against the West Indies in 5 matches against them, and his record at the Saxton Oval isn’t very inspiring.

NZ vs WI Team Previews

New Zealand

After losing the first T20, New Zealand has turned things around in style, winning back-to-back matches to take a lead in the 5-match series. Another win here will help them clinch the trophy.

Tim Robinson and Devon Conway gave the team yet another solid start on Sunday and will look to do the same in this match. The duo is among the leading run-scorers for New Zealand in this match. While Rachin Ravindra hasn’t been in the best of form, Daryl Mitchell and Mark Chapman have contributed well.

In addition, New Zealand has a few all-rounders in the squad, including Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, and James Neesham, who add depth to the batting.

Coming to the bowling, Jacob Duffy has been excellent with the new ball and has picked up 6 wickets in three games. He will be joined by Kyle Jamieson. Ish Sodhi has been another consistent performer, picking up three wickets in both games, and will retain his place in the spin department along with Bracewell and Santner.

New Zealand Expected Playing 11

Tim Robinson, Devon Conway, Mitchell Hay (WK), Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (C), Jacob Duffy, Kyle Jamieson, Ish Sodhi

West Indies

The West Indies started off well but squandered away the early advantage and will now fight to save the series on Monday. There are a few areas that the team needs to work on before the start of the next match.

The opening pair has been a bit of a headache for the visitors in the three matches played so far. Brandon King was dropped on Sunday after a prolonged lull in form, but his replacement, Amir Jangoo, wasn’t able to make much of an impact as well.

While Alick Athanaze continues to play well, he will need better support from the other end. Shai Hope and Rovman Powell have played a couple of decent knocks in the middle order, but they lack consistency. Romario Shepherd has been the team’s best batsman and will once again play an important role during the death overs.

The bowlers have also been inconsistent. The likes of Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, and Jayden Seales have been rather expensive and need to bowl a better line and length. Roston Chase is the team’s best bowler with 5 wickets, while Matthew Forde has picked up 4.

West Indies Expected Playing 11

Amir Jangoo, Alick Athanaze, Shai Hope (C & WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Matthew Forde, Shamar Springer, Akeal Hosein

NZ vs WI Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bat first.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

We are expecting a good batting surface at the Saxton Oval. The average first-inning score here is around 190, and that is the score the team batting first will aim for. There is very little movement for the seamers, and they will have to rely on variations in pace to trouble the batsmen.

The spinners will have to aim for the rough spots to get some turn. The pitch is likely to slow down a bit in the second half. The weather will remain overcast, with a high probability of rain during the morning.

NZ vs WI: Who Will Win?

We are backing New Zealand to win this match. They have played good cricket in the last couple of games, doing well with the bat and ball. The team has a strong batting line-up with plenty of depth and a well-balanced bowling unit. The West Indies’ batting has been inconsistent, and that could cost them the match.

Bet on New Zealand to win.
