It has been an all-round failure for the team as it has neither impressed with the bat nor with the ball. Annabel Sutherland and Rhys McKenna have struggled against the new ball and have been unable to give the team a stable start.

The middle order has some seasoned batters including Meg Lanning, Deepti Sharma, and Marizanne Kapp but they too have failed to convert their starts into big innings. In the bowling department, Kim Garth has had a couple of good games and has picked up 10 wickets, making her the leading wicket-taker for the team.

The team also has the worst NRR among all teams. On a positive note, the Strikers are coming into this match on the back of consecutive wins and will be feeling slightly confident to end their campaign on a high.

The Strikers boast of one of the strongest batting line-ups in the league but it has failed to fire this year. That said, it has performed well in the last two games and they will expect to do the same here as well. Smriti Mandhana and Katie Mack will open the batting here and try and score maximum runs during the PowerPlay.

Tahlia McGrath, Laura Wolvaardt, and Bridget Patterson make up a strong middle order while all-rounders Madeline Penna and Orla Prendergast add depth to the batting. The Strikers’ bowlers have done a better job.

Megan Schutt is the leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets and has received good support from Amanda-Jade Wellington and Anesu Mushangwe, both of whom are quality spinners.
