BIP vs LOS Betting Tips
First dismissal of the match to be fielder catch
There should be minimal fuss with this bet being delivered. The London Spirit lost David Warner as its first wicket to fall against the Trent Rockets. It took an outfield catch from countryman Marcus Stoinis to dismiss Warner.
Total fours in the London Spirit innings to be over 13.5
The London Spirit knew its way around finding the boundary. The team in blue managed an impressive 17 boundary fours in its previous match. If the power-hitters like Warner get a move on, they could find the boundary often.

BP vs LS Team Previews
Birmingham Phoenix
The Birmingham Phoenix looks more brittle than their big names suggest. The top three of Will Smeed, Ben Duckett and Joe Clarke can be explosive, but they’re also streaky and heavily powerplay-dependent. Once the field spreads, dot-ball pressure creeps in and soft dismissals follow.
Liam Livingstone wears the armband yet arrives carrying the weight of captaincy and finishing duties. Livingstone is too often left to rescue stalled starts rather than launch from a platform. The team has struggled to get the best out of him in that sense. The batting in the previous match was a major low. Outside of Livingstone’s 46 and Bethell’s 48, the rest of the team combined to 63 runs.
Behind him, Jacob Bethell and Louis Kimber are talented but unproven at closing out 100-ball chases. The Phoenix could be vulnerable to good spin through the middle. Benny Howell’s craft is useful, though his lack of pace can look like a target when batters sit deep and line him up on a pitch which is not doing much.
Although experienced, Howell has struggled to get going with the bat. He currently only has 27 runs in four innings. His bowling has been reasonable with five wickets in four innings.
With the ball, the kiwi new-ball trio of Trent Boult, Adam Milne and Tim Southee has pedigree, but it’s a narrow strength. All three prefer and rely on early swing and hard lengths. Chris Wood adds left-arm variation without real cutting edge. He is unproven at the highest level of white-ball bowlers in the world.
The bowling lineup lacked control against the Superchargers, with three bowlers going either just under or over two runs per ball.
Birmingham Phoenix Expected Playing 11
Will Smeed, Ben Duckett, Joe Clarke (wk), Liam Livingstone (c), Jacob Bethell, Louis Kimber, Benny Howell, Adam Milne, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Chris Wood

London Spirit
London Spirit should be quietly confident with better clarity of roles and a spine of world-class decision-makers. David Warner can dictate the powerplay, while Jamie Smith’s clean range as wicketkeeper-batter adds tempo and smarts through the middle. When playing for Birmingham in 2024, Smith scored a half-century against the Spirit.
Kane Williamson’s calm stewardship anchors the innings and lets the aggression blossom around him. Ashton Turner is the ideal Hundred finisher with his strengths being strong square and ruthless versus spin. Both Williamson and Turner have hit a patch of form with 45 and 30 in their previous innings.
The Australian is complemented by Ollie Pope’s busy stroke-play and Sean Dickson’s reliability to plug any wobble. With that many batting options, the Spirit can absorb an early loss and still surge to a 160-plus tempo without panic, such as their 162 for five against the Trent Rockets.
With the ball, they’re equally well stocked. Liam Dawson gives left-arm control with his spin and priceless matchups to choke opposition right-handers. He has racked up 28 Men’s Hundred wickets. Dawson is also a savvy lower-order hitter who extends the batting.
Jamie Overton offers pace-power at both ends with six-hitting insurance and a hard-length enforcer. He has a wicket in each of his matches this season. The Luke Wood–Richard Gleeson–Daniel Worrall trio brings varied angles and skills.
This is a pace group tailored to the Hundred’s chaos and winning key moments. Gleeson and Worrall both claimed two wickets each in the last match.
London Spirit Expected Playing 11
Jamie Smith (wk), David Warner, Kane Williamson (c), Ashton Turner, Ollie Pope, Jamie Overton, Sean Dickson, Liam Dawson, Luke Wood, Richard Gleeson, Daniel Worrall
BP vs LS Toss Prediction
Edgbaston has proven to be a better chasing ground this season. Both wins at the venue this year have been from some exciting chases. The way out could be with ball in hand first.
Pitch Report and Weather Conditions
Edgbaston’s pitch is known for offering a true surface with consistent bounce. This pitch may be a rewarding venue for stroke-makers who like to play through the line. As is traditional in English conditions, the seamers can find movement early under the right conditions.
The bowlers will need to strike early to stay in the hunt; otherwise, the pitch will allow batters to score freely. The Birmingham side scored 185 for five in its last home game against the London side.
The skies will be clear on matchday, with some warm weather also expected in Birmingham. There is no rain expected on the day.
BP vs LS: Who Will Win?
The London Spirit has an incredible chance of rewriting history with a win in its last match. The team still feels a fraction too reliant on players like David Warner. A few other batters have stepped up to the plate in the game against the Trent Rockets, proving that the team is not just a one-trick pony. The Phoenix has struggled throughout, apart from one game.
Bet on London Spirit to win.
BP vs LS win percentage stands at 53% in favor of BP.
