Bet on Sri Lanka to win the toss. There is a 50 percent chance of them getting this right. If the Sri Lankans win the toss, they will probably choose to bowl first.
Mendis has played T20I cricket for almost 10 years. He has hit 14 half-centuries in this format and was Sri Lanka's top-scorer against South Africa recently. He is primed for success.
Hasaranga is arguably the best leg-spinning all-rounder in T20I cricket at the moment. It's his role with the ball that is in focus here. Hasaranga should benefit from conducive conditions in Dallas. He took the most wickets for Sri Lanka against the Proteas recently.
Al Hasan has played T20 cricket around the world and knows how to bowl well in foreign conditions. He has six four-fors and two five-fors in T20I cricket. Anticipate a telling spell from the Bangladesh veteran.
Hossain will be eager to lead from the front. He is relatively new to the captaincy, but it is largely empowering - not limiting - his primary role with the bat. Look forward to a big knock from him.

Sri Lanka would have learned a lot of lessons from their defeat to the Proteas earlier this tournament. If the Sri Lankans want to be among the geunine title contenders, they are going to have to improve their overall performance soon, especially their batting.
It will take a lot from them to bounce back from being bowled out for 77 against South Africa. Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis will insist on immediate improvement from themselves and each other. They will likely open the batting again - and have the opportunity to get their team off to a solid start. Mendis was the team's top-scorer in the previous match with 19.
Bowling-wise, Wanindu Hasaranga could be an important asset this time. He is captaining the side and, as one of the best leg-spinners at the tournament, should pose a major threat to the opposition order. Hasaranga was Sri Lanka's top wicket-taker in their last match against the Proteas.
Bangladesh lost a T20I series to the United States of America prior to the start of the T20 World Cup. That would have dented their spirits a bit, but increased the motivation to do well in this major tournament. Bangladesh can be world beaters on their day, but are also prone to collapse. We'll see which version arrives on the day.
Keep an eye on the performances of Tanzid Hasan, Soumya Sarkar and Najmul Hossain with the bat. All three are superb performers - and will be driven to collectively and individually take the attack to the Sri Lankan bowlers. Litton Das, for all his experience, will also be key for the Tigers.
Bangladesh have a highly-experienced all-rounder in Shakib Al Hasan. He has captained the team previously, too, and is certainly one of their best batters and bowlers. In the middle order and with his spin, Al Hasan is capable of almost winning a match on his own, relatively speaking.
This match will be played at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. Teams have only opted to field first after winning the toss at this ground during the 2024 T20 World Cup.
It's likely the team to win the toss this time will take their cue from that record and decide to bowl first as well.
The first three matches of this tournament at this venue have produced first-innings totals of 106, 156, 194. This is a higher-scoring ground than the one in New York.
A first-innings score of approximately 160-plus should be competitive here. No rain is forecast in Dallas on matchday.
Sri Lanka were quite flat against South Africa. But that poor performance should be enough to motivate them to be stronger against Bangladesh. Sri Lanka have a stronger bowling department - and should win this match.
Bet on 1.50 favourites Sri Lanka to beat 2.59 underdogs Bangladesh.
