Nottinghamshire will come into this fixture riding high on confidence after a convincing DLS-assisted win over Derbyshire. The top order is firing, with Lyndon James and Jack Haynes both notching impressive 40s, and Daniel Sams offering balance with ball and bat. Tom Moores is proving a consistent finisher, while the bowling attack led by Dillon Pennington and Conor McKerr has been incisive. Notts have found good depth in spin with Liam Patterson-White and Calvin Harrison applying control in the middle overs. Playing at Trent Bridge, a venue known for high scores, their familiarity and current form make them a daunting prospect.
Worcestershire, on the other hand, are coming off a disappointing loss to Northamptonshire. Despite Brett D’Oliveira’s fluent 77 and decent cameos from Dwarshuis and Roderick, their middle order failed to capitalize. Their bowling, barring Jacob Duffy and Fateh Singh, lacked penetration, especially at the death. With players like Adam Hose and Ed Pollock yet to find rhythm, Worcestershire need a stronger all-round effort. The return of Tom Taylor or Jake Libby from the bench could offer more experience or batting depth.
With Notts in better rhythm and Worcestershire still finding balance, the home side look favourites, especially if the top order clicks again.
