LAN vs KENT Betting Tips

Tawanda Muyeye to score over 19.5 runs

Tawanda Muyeye is the leading run-scorer for Kent this season and is second on the list of top run-getters of the season. He has scored a half-century in each of his last two T20 Blast matches. Seeing his good form, we are backing him to play a good knock here.

Chris Green to pick up Over 1.5 wickets

Chris Green is the leading run-scorer for Lancashire with 21 wickets. He has picked up at least 2 wickets in 3 of his last 3 T20 Blast matches. As the pitch here does provide assistance to the bowlers, Green could play an important role

LAN vs KEN Team Previews

Lancashire

Arguably one of the strongest teams in the T20 Blast, Lancashire has managed to reach the playoffs for the eighth consecutive season. However, they weren’t able to reach the semifinals in the last two editions and will hope to break that jinx here.

Lancashire was the most consistent team in the North Group, topping the table with 9 wins in 14 games. Keaton Jennings has led the team from the front, scoring 411 runs so far, and is the leading run-scorer for the team. He is likely to be joined by Phil Salt at the top of the order.

While Salt’s recent form in The Hundred hasn’t been very good, he remains one of the most explosive batsmen in the league. With Jos Buttler unavailable due to international commitments, Lancashire will have to rely on the likes of Matthew Hurst, Ashton Turner, and Luke Wells to deliver during the middle overs.

Lancashire boasts of a strong pace attack that is made up of James Anderson, Jack Blatherwick, and Luke Wood. Chris Green, who is the team’s leading wicket-taker, will lead the spin department.

Lancashire Expected Playing 11

Keaton Jennings (C), Phil Salt (WK), Ashton Turner, Luke Wells, Matthew Hurst, Chris Green, Tom Hartley, Thomas Aspinwall, Luke Wood, Jack Blatherwick, Michael Jones

Kent

After finishing with the wooden spoon in the South Group last season, Kent scripted a remarkable turnaround to win 7 of the 14 matches during the group stages and made it to the knockouts for the first time since 2021, when they lifted the trophy.

A large chunk of Kent’s success can be attributed to Tawanda Muyeye, who was excellent with the bat throughout the group stages. He is second on the list of top run-getters of the season with 516 runs. He, along with Daniel Bell-Drummond, will be the key batsman for Kent in this match.

The middle order consists of Harry Finch, Joe Denly, and Joey Evision. They have played well in patches but lack consistency. Sam Billings’ recent form isn’t very inspiring as well. Talking about the bowling, Kent will rely on the new-ball pair of Nathan Gilchrist and Fred Klaasen to pick up wickets with the new ball.

Matthew Parkinson remains the specialist spinner on the team.

Kent Expected Playing 11

Tawanda Muyeye, Daniel Bell-Drummond, Joe Denly, Joey Evision, Harry Finch, Jack Leaning, Grant Stewart, Fred Klaasen, Nathan Gilchrist, Matthew Parkinson, Sam Billings (C & WK)

LAN vs KEN Toss Prediction

5 of the 7 matches played here this season were won while batting first. In 6 of those matches, the team winning the toss opted to bat first, and we expect that trend to continue.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The pitch at Old Trafford is good to bat on, especially during the first half. The surface is greenish-brown, allowing the batsmen to play their shots with confidence and hit across the line as well. The average first-inning score here is around 155, but the team batting first will aim to score at least 180-190 runs.

The pitch does slow down a bit as the match progresses, and the spinners can expect some help during the second innings. The weather will remain overcast with temperatures under 20 degrees. There might be some light rain throughout the day.

LAN vs KEN: Who Will Win?

We are backing Lancashire to win this match. They have played some excellent cricket this year and have some quality players who can win the match for them. Kent’s batting seems over-reliant on a couple of players, and the bowling attack hasn’t been consistent as well.

Bet on Lancashire to win.

LAN vs KEN win percentage stands at 60% in favor of LAN.

Todays Match Prediction: Lancashire to Win.
