Somerset head into this South Group clash with a perfect record, having won all three of their matches so far. Their batting continues to fire with Will Smeed (84 off 42 vs Sussex) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (64 off 43) in outstanding form, giving them explosive starts at the top. Tom Abell has provided solidity in the middle order, while Thomas Rew has also shown his finishing skills. Their bowling unit is equally strong with the pace trio of Craig Overton, Matt Henry, and Riley Meredith consistently picking up wickets, supported well by skipper Lewis Gregory's all-round abilities. Somerset's balanced attack allows them to control both powerplays and death overs, making them one of the most complete sides in the competition so far.
Gloucestershire, on the other hand, are still searching for their first win, having lost all three of their opening matches. Their batting has struggled to post competitive totals, with inconsistent contributions from the top order of Miles Hammond, Cameron Bancroft, and D'Arcy Short. The lower order hasn’t been able to bail them out either. On the bowling front, the likes of David Payne, Matt Taylor, and Ajeet Dale have been economical at times but have lacked the penetration to consistently break partnerships. With a NRR of -2.194, Gloucestershire desperately need a turnaround, but facing an in-form Somerset side makes the task significantly harder.
Bet on Somerset to win.
