What Is The Super Smash League (NZ)?

The Super Smash is a cricket league based in New Zealand. The Super Smash is focused on T20 cricket, much like other T20 leagues around the world, such as the IPL, BBL, and SA20.  

The Super Smash League has been active since 2005. That means it is older than the IPL and BBL, although perhaps not quite as popular as those leagues.

Super Smash Format

The Super Smash format is slightly different from other T20 cricket leagues. The tournament has a double round-robin schedule, which means the six teams will play each other twice.  

The playoffs are somewhat shorter than other leagues, too, as the team at the top of the ladder gets an automatic entry into the Final. The teams placed second and third on the table will play the Eliminator match, and the winner will compete in the Final against whichever team was placed first on the ladder
