Captain Saud Shakeel leads a franchise which won the PSL in 2019. He top-scored with 59 runs against the Zalmi. Joining him at the top of the order is New Zealand's explosive opener Finn Allen. He also blasted a half-century in the same game.

The batting lineup is further strengthened by Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis, South African powerhouse Rilee Rossouw and Pakistan's promising young talent Hasan Nawaz. Mendis and Rossouw were involved in an unbeaten half-century stand against Peshawar. The youngster Nawaz scored a valuable 41 runs in his previous PSL innings.

The Gladiators' all-round capabilities are bolstered by experienced players like Shoaib Malik and Faheem Ashraf with a wealth of experience and versatility at the disposal of the team. Malik has over 13000 T20 runs. Ashraf has over 200 T20 wickets with almost 1900 T20 runs.

New Zealand's Kyle Jamieson adds pace and height to an impressive fast-bowling lineup. Pakistan's left-armer Mohammad Amir offers swing, experience and variation with the new ball. Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed provides a spin option that will keep batters honest.

All-rounders Sikandar Raza and Jahandad Khan add depth to the squad as both bringing strong batting and bowling elements. Zimbabwean Raza has a T20 high score of 133 not out. Khan recently featured for Pakistan in their T20 tour of New Zealand. Emerging talent Mohammad Naeem also features in the squad as he looks to pave his path into domestic T20 cricket.

The Qalandars' bowling attack is spearheaded by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi with lethal left-arm pace and leadership on the field. Afridi needs nine more wickets for 300 T20 wickets. He is ably supported by Haris Rauf with express pace. Rauf is seven wickets shy of 300 T20 wickets.

The inclusion of seasoned all-rounder David Wiese adds both bowling strength and lower-order batting firepower. Asif Afridi's slow left-arm orthodox spin provides variety to the attack.
