The Multan haven’t had the best of starts to this season and have lost each of the 3 matches they have played so far and is firmly placed at the bottom of the table and have the worst NRR among all teams.
Barring Mohammad Rizwan, the batting from the Sultans has been quite disappointing. Rizwan is third on the list of top run-scorers of the season but that is mainly due to the century he scored in the first match. Shai Hope has struggled against the new ball, while Usman Khan hasn’t been able to convert his starts into big knocks.
The middle order consists of all-rounders including Kamran Ghulam, Michael Bracewell, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Ashton Turner but none of them have been able to make a meaningful contribution with the bat. The bowling has been pretty ordinary as well.
The 3 seamers, Ubaid Shah, Akif Javed, and David Willey have picked up 3 wickets each but have gone for over 10 runs per over. Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell have picked up 5 wickets between them but they too have been quite expensive.
