Multan Sultans won the toss in their latest match and have had luck running their way so far! We are backing them to win again.
Reeza Hendricks is in excellent form this season and has scored half-centuries in both his outings and was the leading run-scorer for the team in both those matches. We are therefore backing him to play a good knock.
Mohammad Ali has bowled well this season and has picked up 3 wickets in both his outings. We think he could be one of the better value pick options for this market and someone with a good chance to come through.
The Lahore Qalandars will be searching for their first win of the season as they face Multan Sultans for match number 7 in the ongoing PSL. The match will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Both teams have played 17 matches against each other so far. The Lahore Qalandars have won 9 of those matches, while Multan has won 8.

The Multan Sultans have made a positive start to their campaign as they won both their matches so far. With an excellent NRR, the team is sitting at the top of the points table.
Dawid Malan and Mohammad Rizwan will look to give the team a strong start in this match. Rizwan appeared to be in good touch on Tuesday as he scored 43 runs in just 33 deliveries. Reeza Hendricks has scored back-to-back half-centuries and is also the top run-getter of this season.
Yasir Khan and Khushdil Shah are the other two batsmen in the middle order, while all-rounders Iftikhar Ahmed and David Willey add depth to the batting. Abbas Afridi and Mohammad Ali picked up 3 wickets each in the last match and are the top two wicket-takers of the season.
They will be supported by Olly Stone and David Willey in the seam department, while Usama Mir will lead the spin attack.
The Lahore Qalandars are the defending champions for this season. However, they will be pretty disappointed with the way things have panned out so far. The team has lost both of its matches so far.
Barring Rassie van der Dussen and Sahibzada Farhan, none of the batsmen have been able to have much of an impact on the proceedings. Farhan is in excellent form as he has scored half-centuries in both outings and is also the leading run-getter for the season.
Van der Dussen scored a quick-fire 71 in the opening fixture and the team will expect a similar inning from him. While some quality batsmen are playing for the team including Fakhar Zaman, Carlos Brathwaite, and Sikander Raza, the team hasn’t been able to post a match-winning total yet.
Qalandars have a strong seam attack consisting of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman Khan, and Jahandad Khan. While the spin department will be headed by Sikandar Raza.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bat first.
The pitch at Multan is good to bat on, especially during the first half. The ball comes nicely onto the bat and the batsmen will be able to play their shots quite naturally. That said, the quicker bowlers will get some movement if they hit the right areas. The team batting first will look to score over 180 runs.
The weather is likely to be clear with temperatures of between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.
Looking at the way both teams have played so far, we feel that the Multan Sultans have an edge in this contest. They have a well-balanced squad at their disposal and playing at home gives them an added advantage. On the other hand, the batting for Lahore hasn’t been great and they are likely to struggle.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
