Mohammad Rizwan has been a consistent performer in the PSL and has scored 1996 runs at an average of 43.39. He was the leading run-scorer of the last season with 555 runs and we are therefore backing him to play well here.
The pitch at Multan is good to bat on and with plenty of quality batsmen playing on both sides, we are likely to see at least one of them play a big inning.
The Multan Sultans have a stronger batting line-up when compared to the Karachi Kings. There are some clean strikers of the cricket ball who are capable, including Rizwan and Iftikhar, who can score boundaries at will. We are therefore backing the Sultans to score more 4s.
The Multan Sultans will kick off their latest PSL campaign on Sunday as they host the Karachi Kings for a day-night encounter at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Both teams have faced each other in 11 matches so far. The Karachi Kings have a slight edge with 6 wins, while the Multan Sultans have won 5.

Cricket betting tips and match predictions for MS vs KK PSL 2024.
The Multan Sultans have been one of the most consistent teams in the PSL during the recent seasons. They have reached the finals in each of the last 3 seasons. As they begin a fresh campaign, the Sultans will once again look to make it all the way.
The Sultans will once again be led by W wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who is a solid batsman who can play at any position. He has plenty of local talent at his disposal as the Multan Sultans have some excellent batsmen including Yasir Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Khushdil Shah.
The team has also a couple of quality international batsmen in the form of Dawid Malan and Reeza Hendricks. The middle order lacks quality all-rounder with David Willey being the only international option. Coming to the bowling, the team will be without two of their top seamers, namely Ihsanullah and Reece Topley, who have pulled out of the tournament due to injuries.
Chris Jordan and Shahnawaz Dahani are likely to spearhead the new-ball attack, while Usama Mir and Faisal Akram will feature in the spin department.
The Karachi Kings have finished in the bottom two during the last two seasons and will look to put up a better performance this time around.
In a bid to strengthen the middle order, the Karachi Kings have brought in a couple of quality all-rounders in the form of Kieron Pollard and Daniel Sams. The duo is capable of not only playing the role of finisher but can also play an important role with the ball.
They will be joined by Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Nawaz, who have plenty of experience playing in the PSL. Shan Masood and James Vince are likely to open the batting and will look to score some quick runs during the Powerplay. The team’s pace attack has received a bit of a setback with Jamie Overton pulling out of the season due to injuries.
This will put added pressure on Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza to perform with the new ball. The spin attack is quite strong thanks to the presence of Tabraiz Shamsi and Arafat Minhas.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bat first.
The pitch at Multan is generally good to bat on. There is a good amount of pace and bounce on offer and the ball comes nicely onto the bat. The average first-inning score in this ground is around 175. The pitch does get a bit two-paced in the second half and is tricky to bat on.
The weather in Multan is likely to be clear with temperatures of around 20 degrees Celsius.
With both teams likely to miss out on international stars, this is a tricky match to call. However, we feel that the Multan Sultans have a slight edge in this contest thanks to a stronger batting line-up. Also, playing under home conditions gives them an edge.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
