Islamabad won the toss in their last match, while Multan lost it. Sticking with lady Luck and hoping Islamabad gets on a streak. We are therefore backing it to win yet again.
Abbas Afridi is one of the most consistent performers for the Multan Sultans with the ball. He has picked up 21 wickets in his last 9 outings and we are therefore expecting that he will bowl a good spell in this match.
Reeza Hendricks was in excellent form in the last match as he scored 79 runs. He has scored 2 half-centuries in his last 4 T20 matches and we are therefore backing him to play well here.
Both, the Multan Sultans and Islamabad United will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table as they face off in the ongoing PSL. The match will be played on Tuesday at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Out of the 13 head-to-head encounters between the two teams, the Multan Sultans have won 7, while Islamabad has won 6.

The Multan Sultans made a winning start to their campaign by defeating the Karachi Kings in their opening fixture. The Sultans have a pretty strong batting line-up and will hope to score plenty of runs in this match. Mohammad Rizwan, who is among the top run-scorers of the league, will open the batting with Dawid Malan.
The latter was in brilliant form in the season opener as he scored a brisk half-century. Reeza Hendricks, who played a couple of good knocks in the BPL and SA20, was in good form too. He will be joined by Yasir Shah and Khushdil Shah in the middle order. Iftikhar Ahmed and David Willey are the two all-rounders on the team.
The seamers did an excellent job on Sunday with Willey picking up 2 wickets. He was well-supported by Abbas Afridi and Mohammad Ali, who picked up 5 wickets between them. The spin attack will be led by Usama Mir.
Just like their opponents, Islamabad United started on a positive note by defeating the incumbent champions, Lahore Qalandars, by 8 wickets.
It was a brilliant batting effort by Shadab Khan and Agha Salman, who put up an unbeaten 138-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to see their team through comfortably. In addition to the duo, Islamabad has two international T20 stars in the form of Colin Munro and Alex Hales, both of whom are capable of scoring brisk runs during the Powerplay.
With Azam Khan, Haider Ali, Imad Wasim, and Faheem Ashraf coming in lower down the order, there is no dearth of batting talent in the Islamabad team. Brothers Naseem Shah and Ubaid Shah are likely to open the attack with the new ball.
They will be supported by Tymal Mills and Faheem Ashraf, while Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan will feature in the spin attack.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bat first.
The pitch Multan is good to bat on during the first half of the match. There is some grass on the surface, allowing the ball to skid on and come nicely onto the bat. There is very little margin for error for the bowler. That said, the seamers will get some movement through the air. The pitch does slow down in the second half, making anything over 170 difficult to chase.
The weather in Multan is likely to be clear with temperatures of below 20 degrees Celsius.
As both teams appeared to be in good form during the opening match, we are likely to see a close contest between them. However, we feel that the Multan Sultans have a slight edge in this contest thanks to better balance in the team.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
