Islamabad has enjoyed excellent luck when it comes to winning the toss. They have won it in each of their last 5 matches. We are therefore backing them to win it yet again.
Usama Mir is the leading wicket-taker of this season with 23 wickets. He has been the top bowler for Multan in 4 of his last 6 matches. As the pitch at Karachi does help the spinners, Usama is likely to bowl another good spell in this match.
Usman is the second-highest run-scorer for Multan this season. He is averaging 124.33 this season and was the top batsman for his team in 3 of his last 5 outings. While there are a few other batsmen in the team who are in good form, Usman has played well against Islamabad in the past and is likely to do well again.
After a grueling schedule of one month and spread over 33 matches, we finally have the two finalists in the ongoing season of the PSL. The Multan Sultans will take on Islamabad United on Monday to claim the ultimate prize. The match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Both teams have faced each other in 15 matches so far. The Multan Sultans have won 8 of those matches, while Islamabad has won 7.

This is the 4th consecutive season that the Multan Sultans have made it to the finals. While they won the title in 2021, they lost during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Nevertheless, the team will look to better its record here.
The Multan Sultans were the most consistent team this season and finished at the top of the points table. They also went on to defeat Peshawar in the Qualifier to gain direct entry to the finals. The Sultans have a pretty strong batting line-up, headlined by Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan.
Rizwan is the leading run-scorer for the team with 381 runs. In addition, Yasir Shah, Johnson Charles, and Iftikhar Ahmed have chipped in with some valuable knocks during the season. The bowling has been equally impressive. Usama Mir and Mohammad Ali are the top two wicket-takers for the team with 23 and 18 wickets respectively.
They have been well-supported by Abbas Afridi and David Willey, who have picked up 27 wickets between them.
Islamabad has consistently made it to the playoffs since the 2021 season but this is the first time that the team has reached the finals since 2018, when they won the title.
Islamabad had to take the longer route as they finished 3rd on the table. The team defeated Quetta and Peshawar in the Eliminator. Islamabad's batting line-up has done a tremendous job in the last few matches. Agha Salman and Shadab Khan are among the top scorers for the team.
Martin Guptill, who has replaced Colin Munro in the last couple of games has scored briskly in the PowerPlay and will look to give the team a strong start. Imad Wasim, Haider Ali, and Azam Khan add heft to the middle order. Naseem Shah will lead the pace attack.
He is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 15 wickets. However, his partners, Hunain Shah and Faheem Ashraf have been quite expensive. Coming to the spin department, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim will be the key bowlers.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The National Stadium in Karachi usually offers a good batting surface and we expect a similar pitch for this match. The average first-inning score on this ground is around 180. There is plenty of bounce and pace on offer, allowing the batsmen to play their shots.
That said, the quicker bowlers who bowl a good line and length will be rewarded.
The weather in Karachi is expected to be clear with temperatures of around 25 degrees Celsius.
With the PSL title on the line, we expect both teams to go all out to win this match. While there is no clear favorite to win this match, we feel that the Multan Sultans have played with better consistency this season and might just pip Islamabad to the finish line.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
