Karachi has enjoyed excellent luck when it comes to winning the toss as they have won it in each of their 3 matches so far. On the other hand, Islamabad has won just once in their last 3. Therefore, betting on Karachi is a better option here.
Agha Salman is in good form this season and has top-scored for his team in 2 of his last 3 outings. Seeing his good form, it wouldn’t be surprising if he ends up as the top batsman once again.
Hamza has bowled well in the last 2 matches, picking up 5 wickets. As the pitch at Karachi does help the new-ball bowlers, we are backing Hamza to be the top bowler of the match.
Islamabad United will be looking to get themselves in the top 4 as they take on the Karachi Kings in match number 15 of the ongoing PSL season. The match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Both teams have played 20 matches against each other so far. Islamabad United has won 14 of those matches, while Karachi has won only 6.

The Karachi Kings lost their season opener against the Multan Sultans but have since managed to turn things around. They are coming into this contest on the back of consecutive wins and are currently placed 4th on the points table.
Powered by some excellent batting by Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Malik, the middle order has performed well for the Kings this season. Pollard is the leading run-scorer for the team with 135 runs, while Malik is close behind with 121 runs. James Vince and Mohammad Nawaz have chipped in with a couple of valuable knocks.
Skipper Shan Masood will open the batting along with Muhammad Akhlaq but the duo has lacked consistency. The seamers have performed well for the Karachi Kings. Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali have picked up 11 wickets between them while Daniel Sams has 3 against his name.
The spin attack does seem a bit weak as Tabraiz Shamsi has managed to pick up just 2 wickets in 3 matches.
Islamabad United is struggling a bit at the moment as after playing 4 matches, the team has managed to win just 1 match and is coming to this contest on the back of 3 consecutive losses.
Colin Munro and Jordan Cox have played a couple of good knocks at the top of the order and the same will be expected from them in this match. Munro scored a half-century in the last match and looks in fine form. His partnership of 108 runs with Azam Khan got the team agonizingly close to the mammoth 202-run target against Peshawar.
Agha Salman will be another key player for Islamabad and is the top scorer for them with 163 runs. Coming to the bowling, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah have bowled well to pick up 6 wickets each, but the other bowlers have failed to support them.
Tymal Mills, Imad Wasim, and Hunain Shah have all been pretty expensive.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bat first.
Since this is the first match of the season that will be played on this ground, we can expect a fresh surface. Looking at the records, the pitch is good to bat on and we can expect a run-fest. The average first-inning score on this ground is around 180. The pitch does slow down a bit during the second half, making things difficult for the batsmen.
The weather will be clear with temperatures of between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
While Islamabad hasn’t been in the best of form this season, we expect them to bounce back. They have a quality team on their hands and some of the key batsmen are in good form.
