Islamabad United's 2024 campaign started with defeat to the Lahore Qalandars before they strung together three successive wins over the Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Gladiators. They then lost to the Karachi Kings, but can get back on track here with another win over Quetta.
Agha Salman and Colin Munro are Islamabad's leading run-scorers this PSL season. Salman has hit 188 runs in five innings to Munro's 186 in five. They have epitomised United's good balance between local talent and international recruits. Both could be key in this match.
Naseem Shah is Islamabad's leading wicket-taker in this year's PSL. He has taken seven wickets in five matches and is surely one of the best young fast bowlers at the tournament. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan has complemented Shah well with six wickets of his own.

The Quetta Gladiators were unbeaten for three matches in a row before they came unstuck against the Multan Sultans. But the Gladiators have the chance to bounce right back and show all and sundry why they remain genuine title contenders this PSL season.
Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel have been Quetta's most prolific batters in this year's tournament. Roy has collected 148 runs in four innings to Shakeel's 140 for four. New captain Rilee Rossouw and West Indian recruit Sherfane Rutherford have weighed in with valuable contributions, too.
Abrar Ahmed has been Quetta's standout performer with the ball in this year's PSL. He is one of the best leg-spinners on display in Pakistan and has taken seven wickets in four matches. Importantly, his economy rate is under eight. Fellow spinner Akeal Hosein, who has been opening the bowling, has also been in solid form for the Gladiators.
