Saim Ayub to score Over 22.5 runs
Saim Ayub has been a consistent performer for Peshawar, scoring 736 runs at an average of 30.66. He scored an excellent half-century in the previous match, and given his good form, we reckon that Ayub will play a good knock here.
Jason Holder to pick up Over 1.5 wickets
Jason Holder has an excellent record in the T20 format and has taken 275 wickets in his career. He took 4 wickets in his last outing, and as the pitch in Rawalpindi tends to help the seamers a bit, Holder could take a couple of wickets here.
Islamabad United will look to build upon its winning momentum as it takes on Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League. The two teams will face off on Monday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The defending champions were off to a perfect start as they defeated Lahore Qalandars in the opening fixture. They will now head to this contest with plenty of confidence.
Islamabad will bet on its strong batting unit to deliver the goods in this match. They are likely to start with Sahibzada and Andries Gous in this match. Both of them are known for their explosive brand of batting and if they get going, Islamabad could score plenty of runs during the Powerplay.
The middle order has some quality batsmen including Colin Munro, Salman Agha, and Azam Khan while all-rounders Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Jason Holder add depth to their batting. Munro was in sublime form in the opening fixture as he scored a half-century.
Coming to the bowling, United will bank on its new-ball pair of Naseem Shah and Riley Meredith to bowl well during the Powerplay. Jason Holder bowled well on Friday to pick up 4 wickets. The spin department does seem a bit weak as it lacks a specialist spinner and the team will depend on all-rounders Shadab and Imad to bowl well during the middle overs.
Sahibzada Farhan, Andries Gous, Colin Munro, Salman Agha, Azam Khan (WK), Shadab Khan (C), Imad Wasim, Jason Holder, Naseem Shah, Riley Meredith, Muhammad Shahzad
Unlike their opponents, Peshawar didn’t get the best of starts as they faced a heavy defeat against Quetta Gladiators in their opening fixture. It not only cost them two points but also left a big dent in their NRR.
Putting the defeat aside, Peshawar has a strong batting unit that will be headlined by the experienced duo of Saim Ayub and Babar Azam. Ayub appeared to be in good touch on Saturday as he struck a half-century and the team will expect a similar performance from him in this match as well.
The middle order, which was supposed to be a big strength of Peshawar, has been dented a bit due to the withdrawal of Corbin Bosch. That leaves Hussain Talat as the only quality all-rounder in the team. They have Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Mohammad Haris but their recent form has been patchy. In the seam department, Mohammad Ali is the only one who has experience playing in the PSL.
Alzarri Joseph and Ali Raza are making their PSL debut and it remains to be seen how they perform. Sufiyan Muqeem, who is leading the spin department, is coming into this tournament with some excellent performances behind him and a lot will depend on how he bowls during the middle overs.

Half of the last 10 matches played here were won while chasing while the other half were won while batting first. In 9 of those games, the team winning the toss opted to field first and we expect that trend to continue.
The pitch at the Rawalpindi stadium is usually good to bat on. The surface is hard and firm, offering excellent pace and bounce. There is likely to be an even covering of grass and that might help the pacers early in the match. However, any loose deliveries can be dispatched with ease and we can expect a high-scoring game. The average first-inning score here in PSL is around 194 and the team batting first will look to score over 200 runs here. The weather is likely to remain clear with temperatures of around 30 degrees.
We are backing Islamabad United to win this match. They were clinical in their performance during the first match and we expect them to continue playing well. On the other hand, Peshawar struggled on all fronts and could find it difficult to bounce back against such a strong opposition. That said, Zalmi has some good players who could put up a good fight and we might have a close contest.
IU vs PZ win percentage stands at 55% in favor of IU.
