The Kathmandu Gorkhas made a winning start to their campaign as they defeated the incumbent champions, Janakpur Bolts, in the inaugural match on Monday. They will now hope to continue playing well and strengthen their place in the top half of the table.
The Gorkhas boast of a strong team that is led by Karan KC. He is among the best fast bowlers in the league and will look to inflict early damage to the opposition batting. He will be joined by Rashid Khan in the pace department.
The spin department is pretty strong, too. Gerhard Erasmus picked up three wickets in the previous match and will once again play an important role as he joins Milind Kumar and Santosh Yadav. Erasmus is also a dependable batsman in the middle order and can play the big shots during the death overs.
