Texas Super Kings To Win, 1.84
Texas has won each of its last 4 matches against MI New York
MI New York’s batting has been rather inconsistent
The Texas Super Kings have a strong and more balanced bowling unit compared to that of New York
Faf du Plessis to score Over 27.5 runs
Du Plessis is the leading run-scorer of the season and has an average of 51.12 in 9 innings. He has scored at least 28 runs in 4 of his last 6 innings, each of which was a 50+ score. We are therefore backing him to play a good knock here.
Total wickets Over 13.5
Since it has been raining in Dallas, the bowlers are expected to get some help throughout the match. The previous match saw as many as 18 wickets fall and we expect quite a few wickets to fall in this match.

The Texas Super Kings could consider themselves a bit unlucky this season as their qualifying match against Washington Freedom was abandoned due to rain. As Washington finished the group stage as the number one team, they moved on to the finals, while Texas is now forced to play the Challenger.
A lot will depend on how Faf du Plessis bats for the Texas Super Kings. He has been in brilliant form of late, scoring two centuries and two half-centuries in his last 6 innings and has been the driving force behind the team’s surge on the points table. He will be joined by Smit Patel in the opening slot.
In the middle order, Saiteja Mukkamalla and Shubam Ranjane have been pretty consistent, chipping in at various stages of the tournament. However, the team will expect better batting from the all-rounders like Marcus Stoinis and Calvin Savage.
Adam Milne continues to lead the pace department. He is the joint-highest for the team with 14 wickets and will be supported by Zia ul-Haq and Stoinis. Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein have done a good job during the middle overs, picking up 23 wickets between them.

Despite not being in the best of form during the group stage, MI New York managed to make it to the playoffs for the 3rd consecutive season. While they ended up as the winners of the inaugural edition, they were eliminated by the Texas Super Kings last time around. They will now be eager to exact revenge from their arch rivals.
New York won a hard-fought victory over San Francisco Unicorns in the Eliminator, which kept them alive to fight another day. While the team would have been happy to win, there are a lot of rough spots that they need to polish. The batting has been below par, to say the least. Nicholas Pooran’s form is especially a cause of concern as he is averaging just over 30 runs in 11 innings.
Compared to his lofty standard, he has yet to hit peak form this season. Similarly, the other big names like Quinton de Kock and Kieron Pollard have been rather inconsistent. On a positive note, Monank Patel has been a dependable batsman in the top order and is also the team’s leading run-scorer.
The bowling has been a bit underwhelming too. Trent Boult has picked up 13 wickets but has been expensive at times. Rushil Ugarkar has bowled well in patches and will join Boult and Tristan Luus in the pace department. Noshtush Kenjige continues to lead the spin attack with Michael Bracewell.

It is an even split as half of the last 10 matches played here were won while chasing while the other half were won while batting first. In 9 of those games, the team winning the toss opted to field first and we expect that trend to continue.
The bowlers enjoyed plenty of success here in the Eliminator and we expect that to be the case for this match as well. There has been plenty of rain here over the last few days and the surface has a lot of moisture. While the bounce is consistent, there will be plenty of movement off the seam.
The batsmen need to settle down before they can start playing the big shots. Anything over 170-180 could get difficult to chase. The weather on Friday is expected to be clear with temperatures around 30 degrees.
Both teams have seen some ups and downs in their form throughout the season and is difficult to predict a clear winner here. Nevertheless, we feel that the Texas Super Kings have a slight edge thanks to a balanced bowling unit.
