We think Ruturaj Gaikwad is in terrific form. He got out for a duck in the previous match but that can happen in T20 cricket. Back him to make the most against a weak RR bowling attack.
With Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top of the order, there is no doubt that RR will come hard from the first ball. We like the odds of this bet coming through very much.
Both the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings have lost their previous match. In fact, RR has lost its opening two matches and is going to be under pressure to turn things around. the match is scheduled to be played at Guwahati, perhaps not a venue that suits RR as much as it would have liked for a home game.

RR and CSK have faced each other 30 times with 16 of those matches being won by CSK. Interestoingly, four out of the most recent five matches in this rivalry have been won by RR.
RR vs CSK can be watched on JioHotstar and the Star Sports network of channels.
Out of all the teams that we have seen in IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals seems to be the weakest. It has made some polarising choices in the auction and it looks as if the team has not been able to find the right balance early on.
RR has a number of promising Indian batters, including Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has yet to light up the IPL 2025 season. He and Sanju Samson are genuine match winners that are likely to get a big score sooner or later. After the pair of them, though, it looks like RR has some serious work to be done.
Riyan Parag has not been able to reprise his form from last season, Nitish Rana looks like a shadow of his best self, and Dhruv Jurel is batting far too low down the order to really make an impact. RR's overseas players were Hetmyer, Hasaranga, Theekshana, and Archer in the previous match.
Hetmyer has had some good seasons but once again, in this lineup, he feels out of position. Hasaranga is not an all-rounder in our eyes while Theekshana and Archer have been super expensive so far.
Things are looking grim for RR and even though their players have not all forgotten how to play cricket, it looks like IPL 2025 is going to be tough season for this team.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag (c), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma
Chennai Super Kings started with a victory against Mumbai Indians but lost their second one against RCB. That was a super convincing loss that would have shaken the confidence of the men in yellow. We think CSK's batting is shaky and will keep on getting it in trouble.
There is just too much dependence on Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra. MS Dhoni batted at number 9 in the previous match and it is simply too late to be able to do anything that late. R Ashwin looks like a liability in the field and with the bat although his bowling has been passable so far.
Deepak Hooda, Sam Curran, and Rahul Tripathi are all players that are under pressure. If CSK loses a couple of wickets early, it can find it hard to recover. We do like the CSK bowling attack, though.
Noor Ahmad has 7 wickets in the two matches he has played and is very difficult to pick. Khaleel Ahmed and Pathirana have been impressive with the ball, one a specialist in the powerplay and the other at the death.
R Jadeja and R Ashwin need some help from the surface otherwise they can be expensive. Sam Curran has also struggled with the ball and may need to be replaced. CSK needs a way to maximise its resources otherwise it is going to struggle to qualify for the playoffs.
Rachin Ravindra, Rahul Tripathi, Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Deepak Hooda, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad, Matheesha Pathirana, Khaleel Ahmed
Three out of the last four matches played here have been won by the team that has chased. We think it is safe to assume that the team winning the toss will want to bat second.
The pitch at Guwahati was a bit on the slower side in the previous match. RR made 151 and KKR chased it down in about 18 overs. We think something around 180 is par for the venue and that is what both teams would aim for batting first.
The weather is expected to be around 26 degrees celsius with 64% humidity and only a 3% chance of rain.
Neither team has impressed but we think RR is quite possibly the weakest team of IPL 2025. Its batting has not fired and its bowling is looking underpowered. CSK's batting is vulnerable but it holds a clear advantage in the bowling department.
RR vs CSK win percentage stands at 56% in favor of CSK.
