Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow won three of their first four matches in the 2024 IPL, but have since won just three more in the following six fixtures. The have struggled to keep momentum after their early successes, but they remain in the hunt for a maiden Indian Premier League title.
KL Rahul remains their leading run-scorer this season. He has collected 406 runs in 10 innings and, importantly, is striking at 143 per 100 deliveries. Rahul has been accused of batting too slowly in previous editions of the IPL. Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran also have 300-plus runs for LSG this season.
Yash Thakur has been the Super Giants' most prolific bowler in 2024. He has taken 10 wickets and knows how to do well in Lucknow conditions. He's an in-form seamer well worth backing. Mohsin Khan, as one of the best left-arm seamers at the tournament, has taken nine wickets for Lucknow this year.

Kolkata Knight Riders
The Knight Riders have won just 60 percent of their last five matches, but like Lucknow, had a lot of success at the start of the tournament to remain in contention for a play-off berth here. KKR won the tournament in 2012 and 2014 and, 10 years later, are in pursuit of a third IPL title.
Phil Salt and Sunil Narine are their top run-scorers this season. Salt has hit 397 runs to Narine's 378. Both have batted 10 times. Salt and Narine have been striking at over 170 per 100 balls each. They are arguably the best opening batting pair in the competition.
Kolkata have three bowlers with 13 wickets each in the 2024 IPL - and three others with 11. Narine, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy have been outstanding in isolation and as a collective. KKR should have Rana back for this match, after he completed a one-match suspension.
