After losing the opening match against Rajasthan Royals, the Lucknow Super Giants have come back strongly to win 3 consecutive matches and have climbed up to the 3rd spot on the points table.
Much of Lucknow’s success has been powered by a strong batting line-up. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul have given the team some brisk starts, while Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis provided heft to the middle order. Pooran is the top run-getter for the team with 178 runs scored at a strike rate of 169.52.
He has also been electric in the field, picking up 5 catches. In addition, LSG has the services of Krunal Pandya, Devdutt Padikkal, and Ayush Badoni, providing depth to the batting.
The seamers have done an excellent job so far. Yash Thakur and Mayank Yadav have picked up 6 wickets each, while Naveen Ul-Haq has 5 against his name. Yash Thakur picked up a fifer in the last fixture and was key to handing LSG its 3rd consecutive win.
