SW vs MIE Team Previews
Sharjah Warriors
The Sharjah Warriorz were defeated by Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in their opening fixture and will be eager to turn things around in this match.
Despite the defeat, there are a few positives for the Warriorz from the previous match. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Johnson Charles started off well, giving the team a steady start. However, the team will need at least one of them to stay till the end of the Powerplay and score some runs.
The Warriorz have two strong batting options in the middle order, Tim David and Dinesh Karthik, both of whom have played plenty of league cricket. There are also a few solid all-rounders, including Dwaine Pretorius, Sikandar Raza, and Tom Abell, who add depth to the batting.
The team’s bowling, especially from the seamers, wasn’t up to the mark, and that is one area where the Warriorz need to improve. Tim Southee, Junaid Siddique, and Saurabh Netravalakar were all very expensive and needed to bowl a better line and length.
Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers, picking up two wickets, and will lead the spin department.
Sharjah Warriors Expected Playing 11
Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Johnson Charles, Adil Rashid, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Tim Southee (C), Tom Abell, Junaid Siddique, Dwaine Pretorius, Tim David, Sikandar Raza, Saurabh Netravalakar

MI Emirates
Much like their opponents, the Emirates didn’t get the start they would have hoped for and faced a heavy defeat against the Gulf Giants on Thursday. The loss took a toll on the team’s NRR as well, pushing them to the bottom of the table.
The MI Emirates will expect a better start from Muhammad Waseem and Johnny Bairstow in this match. Waseem has plenty of experience playing in the UAE, while Bairstow is known for his aggressive batting approach.
The middle order has a couple of excellent batsmen in Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard, both of whom can singlehandedly turn the fortune of the game in the team’s favour. Emirates is home to some solid all-rounders like Chris Woakes, Tajinder Dhillon, and Romario Shepherd.
Rashid Khan, who is arguably among the best slower bowlers in the T20 format, will lead the spin attack for the Emirates, while Allah Ghaznafar, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Muhammad Rohid will feature in the seam department.
MI Emirates Expected Playing 11
Johnny Bairstow, Muhammad Waseem, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Kieron Pollard (C), Romario Shepherd, Chris Woakes, Tajinder Dhillon, Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Allah Ghaznafar, Muhammad Rohid
SW vs MIE Toss Prediction
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
Pitch Report and Weather Conditions
The pitch in Sharjah is usually good to bat, and we can expect plenty of runs in this match. The team batting first will aim for the 200-run mark to give the bowlers something to work with. There are some dry patches on the pitch, and if the spinners pitch the ball there, we could see some turn.
The quicker bowlers need to bowl a bit back of the length. The weather will remain clear with temperatures of over 25 degrees, and there might be some dew during the second half.
SW vs MIE: Who Will Win?
Both teams are coming into this match on the back of a defeat, and we expect a close contest between them. While we expect a close contest, we feel that the MI Emirates have a slight edge thanks to a stronger batting unit and a well-balanced bowling attack.
Bet on MI Emirates to win.
