The Giants didn’t get the start they would have hoped for as the team lost their opening fixture against Sharjah Warriorz in a last-ball thriller. However, there are plenty of matches to be played and the team will hope to bounce back.
The Gulf Giants have an explosive batting unit that is led by skipper James Vince. He is the leading run-scorer of the league and will be the key batsman for the Giants, especially during the PowerPlay. Vince will be joined by Adam Lyth in the opening slot, while the likes of Shimron Hetmeyer, Oliver Robinson, and Jordan Cox come lower down the order.
The Giants have some quality all-rounders like Mark Adair and Rehan Ahmed, both of whom contributed with the bat on Sunday.

The Desert Vipers made a winning start to their campaign by defeating the Knight Riders in what ended as a one-sided encounter.
Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales gave a steady start to the team as they set out to chase a target of 167 runs. The duo has plenty of experience playing in T20 leagues and will hope to give the team another good start here.
The middle order is pretty strong as well, thanks to the presence of Sherfane Rutherford, Dan Lawrence, and Tanish Suri. Lawrence was in excellent form on Sunday as he scored 70 runs from just 39 deliveries. He was well-supported by Sam Curran, who too scored a half-century.
