IND-W vs SA-W Team Previews
India Women
After a historic run-chase against the incumbent champions, Australia, on Thursday, India has reached its third-ever WODI final. The previous two instances were in 2005 and 2017, and in both those editions, India ended as the runners-up. However, the team will look to change that and lift the title here.
India was a bit inconsistent during the group stages and barely made it to the semifinals. However, their performance in the last couple of games has been brilliant, even though they were under pressure, and they have emerged as one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
India’s batting has been top-notch. Smriti Mandhana has led the way at the top of the order and is the leading run-scorer for the team. She will be joined by Shafali Verma at the top of the order as India continues to miss Pratika Rawal. Jemimah Rodrigues, who at one point was dropped for her string of poor performances, has come back stronger and was the key batter in India’s record-breaking run chase against Australia.
With Harmanpreet Kaur also among the runs, India will be confident of making a big total. India’s spin department, led by Deepti Sharma and Shree Charani, has been brilliant and will play an important role here. However, the seamers need to bowl better. Another area for improvement is the fielding, as India dropped a few catches in the previous match.
India Women Expected Playing 11
Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Richa Ghosh (WK), Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Shree Charani, Amanjot Kaur, Renuka Singh Thakur, Kranti Gaud

South Africa Women
The South African Women’s team created history on Wednesday by defeating England in the semifinals to become the first team from the nation to reach the finals of an ODI World Cup. They will now hope to continue with the same momentum and win it as well.
Laura Wolvaardt has been in red-hot form at the top of the order, scoring three half-centuries and a brilliant century in the semifinals. She is the leading run-scorer of the tournament and will hope to give the team a solid start along with Tazmin Brits. Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, and Chloe Tryon have contributed in patches, and they make up for a strong middle order.
Nadine de Klerk is another batter to watch out for. She has played a couple of excellent cameos to take her team over the line during the group stages. However, the form of Anneke Bosch and Sinola Jafta remains a concern as both are averaging under 16 runs in this tournament.
Coming to the bowling, Marizanne Kapp has been excellent with the new ball. She picked up a 5-wicket haul in the previous match and will lead the pace department along with Ayabonga Khaka.. Nonkululeko Mlaba is the joint-highest wicket-taker for the team and has been pretty economical during the middle overs.
South Africa Women Expected Playing 11
Laura Wolvaardt (C), Tazmin Brits, Anneke Bosch, Sinola Jafta (WK), Sune Luus, Chloe Tryon, Nadine de Klerk, Marizanne Kapp, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Annerie Derckson
IND-W vs SA-W Toss Prediction
It has been an even split between teams batting first and those batting second at this venue. However, we feel that chasing might be a better option.
Pitch Report and Weather Conditions
The DY Patil Stadium has seen a couple of high-scoring encounters in this tournament, and we expect another good batting track for this match. The surface is nice and flat, and the batters can play their shots with confidence once they get their eye in. The spinners can expect some help once the ball gets older, but any loose deliveries will be punished.
The weather is expected to be cloudy, with the possibility of some drizzle during the evening.
IND-W vs SA-W: Who Will Win?
India and South Africa have been two of the best teams in this tournament and are fully deserving of a place in this final. Neither of them have lifted this trophy, and we will see a cracking contest as both teams give their 100% on the field. We feel India has an edge here as most of their batters are in good form and they have a stronger spin attack.
Bet on India Women to win.
IND-W vs AUS-W win percentage stands at 71% in favor of AUS-W.
Todays Match Prediction: India Women to Win.
