India has won two of its last 3 matches at Lord’s
England has won only one of its last 6 matches against India
India can expect Jasprit Bumrah back for this match strengthening their team further
Shubman Gill to score a century in 1st innings
Shubman Gill is in red-hot form at the moment and has scored 3 centuries in his last 4 innings. He has scored a century in the first inning of each of his last 3 test matches against England and we expect him to score one yet again.
Gus Atkinson to be the best bowler for England
Atkinson has been in excellent form since his debut. He has picked up 55 wickets in 12 matches. He also has an impressive record at Lord’s, picking up 10 wickets in two games. We are therefore backing him to be the best bowler for England in this match.

With the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy hanging in the balance, the action moves to London as both teams face off at the iconic Lord’s Stadium starting this Thursday. Both the previous Tests have gone down to the fifth day and with both teams expected to bring in bowling reinforcements, the intensity is only going to rise.

England strode into Birmingham brimming with confidence after their sensational win over the visitors in the first Test match. However, things quickly derailed thereafter and the team squandered away its early lead in the series.
England was out-bowled as well as out-batted in the second Test match and will have plenty of corners to round off before the start of this match. The biggest void appeared to be in its bowling unit. India’s strong batting line-up toyed with the inexperienced seam duo Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue, plundering over 1000 runs in two innings.
To fortify its attack, England is almost certain to bring in Jofra Archer. Gus Atkinson has also been included in the squad after his recovery from a hamstring injury and he too could make a comeback. Shoaib Bashir will retain his place in the eleven after he picked up 5 wickets in the previous match.
The batting line-up is unlikely to be changed. However, they will need the top order to play better as much of the heavy lifting in Birmingham was done by Jamie Smith and Harry Brook.

The Indian team was clinical in its performance during the second match right from the word go and went on to level the series. They will now hope to continue with the same momentum and take the lead here.
Shubman Gill has led his team from the front and has batted brilliantly, particularly in the previous match as he scored an aggregate of 430 runs, which is the second-highest in the history of Test cricket. He has been ably supported by his deputy Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul at various stages.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja too have some well, making up a strong batting unit. Karun Nair hasn’t been able to capitalize on his return and could be dropped here to make way for Sai Sudharsan. India’s bowling, particularly from Akash Deep, has been a highlight of the tour so far.
India is likely to drop Prasidh Krishna in this game and bring in Bumrah, which will undoubtedly be a big plus for the visitors. Mohammed Siraj has bowled well too and will most likely retain his place.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah
5 of the last 10 matches played here were won while batting first, while two were drawn. The rest were won by the side bowling first. In 8 of those games, the team winning the toss opted to field first and we expect that trend to continue.
The pitch at the Lord’s is likely to suit the quicker bowlers, at least for the first couple of days. The surface has been watered and there is plenty of grass. We expect a lot of bounce and pace on this surface. The average first-inning score at this venue is 310.
The pitch is likely to even out on the third and fourth day, making it better to bat on. However, anything over 200 could get difficult to chase here in the 4th innings. The weather is likely to be clear throughout the week. There might be some stray clouds but there is no forecast for rain.
England started off as the favorite to win the previous match but was outplayed by India. We feel that the visitors have a good momentum behind them, especially when it comes to the batting. The return of Jasprit Bumrah to the playing XI is also a big bonus, and we feel that they might just end up winning here.
