Dhaka started the tournament with victory over the Comilla Victorians, but have since slipped to back-to-back defeats against the Chattogram Challengers and Rangpur Riders. They require another win here to stay in contention for the next stage of the tournament.

Local talent Mohammad Naim and Australian recruit Alex Ross have been Dhaka's standout performers with the bat so far this BPL. Naim has hit 69 runs in three innings and Ross 62 in two. Those numbers, admittedly, are not superb - but there is plenty of room to grow for this duo and the rest of the batting order.

Fast bowler Shoriful Islam has raced to six wickets in three matches this BPL season. To average two wickets per match, in this format, over an extended period, is a tremendous feat. Fellow fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has offered Islam good support with four wickets.

The Tigers are undefeated this BPL season. They have gathered three successive wins against the Challengers, Riders and Fortune Barishal. A fourth consecutive victory would show they are among the genuine title contenders, but Khulna will be hard pressed against Dhaka.

West Indian batter Evin Lewis is Khulna's most prolific batter so far this season. He has hit 104 runs in three innings - and is striking at almost 200 runs per 100 deliveries. This is a T20 World Cup year - and Lewis is reminding the national selectors of his prowess at the top of the order.

Sri Lankan seamer Dasun Shanaka and Bangladesh spinner Nahidul Islam are the Tigers' top wicket-takers in 2024. They have four each - and have been a consistent threat to the opposition collectively and individually. Shanaka and Islam could be key in this fixture as well.
