After a disappointing outing in the last season, the Dhaka team, playing under a new name, has made a positive start to its fresh campaign. The team defeated the incumbent champions, Comilla Victorians, in the season opener and will be feeling confident as it heads into this contest.

It was a brilliant batting performance by the opening pair of Mohammad Naim and Danushka Gunathilaka as the duo put up a century stand for the first wicket. Naim was especially impressive as he scored a half-century and the team will expect a similar performance from him in this match.

The middle order has some BPL regulars including Lasith Croospulle, Chaturanga de Silva, and Irfan Sukkur who can add valuable runs during the middle overs. Durdanto Dhaka's biggest strength lies with its bowling. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam are two of the best bowlers in the league who will be leading the attack with the new ball.

Avishka Fernando and Tanzid Hasan will open the batting for the Challengers. Hasan was in good form during his recent domestic outings and will look to replicate his success here. The middle order has two relatively inexperienced batsmen in the form of Shahadat Hossain and Imran Uzzaman.

In such a case, Najibullah Zadran and skipper Shuvagata Hom will hold the key. All-rounder Shohidul Islam played an excellent knock of 40 runs on Saturday, albeit for a losing cause. He was also the top bowler for the team, picking up 2 wickets.

He will feature in the pace department alongside Bilal Khan and Al-Amin Hossain. The spin attack consists of Nihaduzzman and Shuvagata Hom.
