Bancroft has been in solid form, including recent scores of 46,30 and 74. He should open the batting again and have the opportunity to score quickly inside the powerplay.
Sams took four wickets against the Stars and followed that up with a five-for against the Heat. He is averaging well over two wickets per match for an extended period this tournament.
Hardie's last five BBL innings have been 35, 34, 57, 85 not out and 20. It seems only a matter of time before he plays for Australia's T20I XI team again.
Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers will play the 30th match of this season's Big Bash League. The Scorchers and Thunder currently occupy third and seventh position, respectively, on the BBL points table.
There will be plenty to bet on before and during this match. Let's see what the betting markets and cricket odds have in store for this key Big Bash clash.
Sydney have three wins to Perth's two in their last five BBL meetings. Their last three results have all been won by the team that batted second.

The Thunder have collected just one win this BBL season. They will go into this match in the wake of recent defeats to the Hobart Hurricanes, Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. Sydney have a lot of work to do if they want to remain in contention for a play-off berth.
Cameron Bancroft has been their standout performer with the bat. He has already collected 202 runs this BBL season. Alex Ross and Oliver Davies have offered solid support with 148 and 142 runs, respectively. Sydney could do with more from England recruit Alex Hales, though. He has delivered just 119 runs in six innings.
Daniel Sams and Zaman Khan have been at the fore of Sydney's ambition with the ball. They have shared 19 wickets in this season's BBL. Sams is among the best left-arm seamers in the tournament and has taken 11 of those 19 wickets. Khan's outright pace keeps challenging many batters.
The Thunder won the BBL title in 2016, but haven't collected another since. They will be hard pressed to move into the next stage of the tournament. Victory over the Scorchers, though, will keep them in the running and give them motivation for more.
Perth put together four wins in a row over the Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes before slipping to defeat to the Strikers. They are third on the points table for good reason after rallying well with bat and ball this season.
Aaron Hardie is an immense asset with the bat for the Scorchers. He has pulled together 251 runs in six innings at an average of 63. He is striking at 139 runs per ball. Those are impressive numbers from this top talent. Laurie Evans and Josh Inglis have also performed well alongside Hardie.
With nine wickets each, Jason Behrendorff and Lance Morris have been Perth's leading seamers this BBL season. Morris has been bowling with relatively extreme pace and, again, conditions at the Sydney Showground Stadium could really suit his style of bowling.
The Scorchers have won the BBL title a record five times. They are the reigning champions and have not been without the title since 2021. They are the only BBL team to have won the title two seasons in a row twice. This year, they're looking to turn one of those into thrice.
It is probable the team to win the toss at the Sydney Showground will opt to bat first.
That's what the Thunder did against the Sixers in the only match of the tournament at this ground so far.
That said, teams can prefer to chase rather than set targets in this format.
A first-innings score of 160-plus at this ground can be considered competitive.
It's likely both teams will field two specialist spinners - and perhaps open the bowling with one.
Rain is forecast in Sydney the day before the match and on matchday. We could be in for a shortened fixture here. That might suit the team chasing an adjusted total.
Perth are pushing for another title and are best placed to win this match. They look to have the stronger batting and bowling resources. Sydney could struggle despite home ground advantage.
Bet on 1.61 favourites Perth Scorchers to beat 2.38 underdogs Sydney Thunder in this match.
