The pitch at Kingstown isn’t the easiest to bat on. In the 9 matches played here, only thrice has a batsman scored 60 or more runs. We are therefore unlikely to see a big innings in this match as well.
Mahedi Hasan is the leading wicket-taker of this tournament with 6 wickets. He was the top bowler for Bangladesh in the first T20 and also picked up 2 wickets on Tuesday. As the pitch at Arnos Vale Ground has been helping the spinners, we are backing him to bowl a good spell.
Having already lost the 3-match series, the hosts will look to salvage some of their pride as they face Bangladesh for the last match of this tour on Thursday. The game will again be played at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown.
The two teams have faced each other in 18 matches to date. The West Indies won 9 while Bangladesh won 7. Two games ended without any result.

After a stellar performance in the ODIs, most fans would have expected the West Indies to put up a similar performance in the shortest format as well. However, that was not to be and the West Indies are 2 down in the 3-match series.
A lot of blame squarely rests on the batting line-up. Despite having some of the best T20 batsmen like Nicholas Pooran, Andre Fletcher, and Rovman Powell, the team has been unable to chase down mediocre targets on what seem to be decent batting tracks.
The opening pair of Brandon King and Johnson Charles have also struggled and cannot find answers to Bangladesh’s disciplined pace attack. While the West Indies do have a couple of all-rounders like Roston Chase and Romario Shepherd, they lack the depth in batting.
The bowlers, especially the spinners, have done a slightly better job. Akeal Hosein has picked up 3 wickets and has an economy rate of under 4 runs. He will be joined by Gudakesh Motie. The seam attack will likely remain unchanged with Alzarri Joseph and Obed McCoy leading the charge.
The visitors have plenty to cheer about in the T20 series as this is the first time they have won a bilateral series against the West Indies since 2018.
However, there are plenty of things the team will need to improve on going forward. The top-order batting has been below par. Litton Das has struggled throughout this tour and has yet to play a meaningful knock. Similarly, Soumya Sarkar and Tanzid Hasan have been unable to convert their starts to big knocks.
On the other hand, the middle order has done better. Shamim Hossain has been striking the ball well and has received good support from Jaker Ali and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The spinners have bowled brilliantly with Mahedi Hasan being the leading wicket-taker of the series with 6 wickets.
He is well-supported by Rishad Hossain. The 3 seamers, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Hasan Mahmud have picked up 11 wickets between them.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The pitch at the Arnos Vale Ground has some grass on it but is on the dry side. There is plenty of help for the spinners and the quicker bowlers who bowl in the right areas. The batsmen must settle down before they can start playing the big shots. Anything over 140 will be difficult to chase here.
The weather is likely to be overcast and there may be a few light showers during the day.
The West Indies started as the favorites to win this series, but seeing their performance over the last couple of matches, we are included to back Bangladesh to win this match. They have been brilliant with the ball and will enter this contest with plenty of confidence.
Bet on Bangladesh to win.
