Both the matches played in this T20 series have seen at least 13 wickets fall. As the Indian bowlers are in particularly good form, we are expecting plenty of wickets to fall in this match as well.
Parvez Hossain hasn’t been in the best of forms with the bat and has been dismissed for 16 or fewer runs in both his innings on this tour. He has managed to cross the 20-run mark just once in his past 5 innings.
India to win the match 1.154
Having already won the series, India will look to complete a clean sweep as it faces Bangladesh for the 3rd and final T20 on Saturday. The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The two teams have faced each other in 16 matches to date. India won 15 of those games while Bangladesh won just once.
This match will be live-streamed on the Jio Cinema app. One can also watch it live on the Sports18 Network.
Just like in the first match, India put up a clinical performance in the second match as well and has now taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series.
Nitish Reddy put up a brilliant all-round performance on Wednesday, repaying the faith shown in him by the team selectors., scoring 74 runs and also picking up 2 wickets. He, along with the other all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag makes up for a strong middle-order. However, the form of the top order is a bit of a concern for the team.
While Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav have got off to good starts, they haven’t been able to continue and play big knocks.
Coming to the bowling, Varun Chakaravarthy has made an excellent comeback to the international arena and has picked up 5 wickets in 2 games. He will lead the spin attack alongside Washington Sundar. Arshdeep Singh and Nitish Reddy are likely to take the new ball with Mayank Yadav coming in as the first change.
The visitors will be mighty disappointed with the way they have performed on this tour. After playing 2 Test matches and 2 T20Is, they are yet to win a match. As their trip nears its end, the team will hope to score a consolation win here.
The opening pair of Parvez Hossain Emon and Litton Das showed good intent in the previous game but fell early during the PowerPlay, and that never allowed the team to recover. Bangladesh will need at least one of them to play a long inning if they want to post a big total.
The middle order has plenty of experienced batsmen like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mahmudullah. Barring Mahmudullah, none of them has been able to make much of an impact so far.
Bangladesh will bank on its strong pace attack of Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib to pick up early wickets and put the opposition under pressure. Rishad Hossain was the pick of the bowlers in the previous match with 3 wickets and will again lead the spin attack.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is a high-scoring venue with an average first-inning score of around 180. The surface is flat and offers plenty of pace and bounce for the batsmen to work with. Any loose deliveries will be punished.
The team batting first will aim for the 200-run mark as the pitch gets progressively better for the batsmen.
The weather in Hyderabad is likely to be overcast and there are chances of rain throughout the day. So that is something to keep in mind during the toss.
India has been clinical in this series, scoring thumping victories in both matches. Bangladesh will find it very difficult to bounce back against an in-form side that seems to e playing fearlessly at the moment. Any way you look at it, India is a far superior unit.
