SL vs HKG Team Previews
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka scored an easy win over arch-rivals Bangladesh in their opening fixture on Saturday. Another win here will almost certainly take them to the knockouts.
Sri Lanka is unlikely to make any changes to its team that won the last match. Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis make up for a strong opening pair and will look to give Sri Lanka a brisk start in this match. Pathum Nissanka appeared to be in excellent form as he scored a solid half-century against Bangladesh.
Young Kamil Mishara joined him for a 95-run partnership for the second wicket and will retain his place in the middle order. He will be joined by Kusal Perera and Dasun Shanaka, both of whom are experienced campaigners and can win the match for the team. Sri Lanka has plenty of all-rounders playing for them, including Kamindu Mendis, Charith Asalanka, and Wanindu Hasaranga, who add depth to the batting.
The bowlers played a pivotal role in the last match. Nuwan Thushara and Dushmantha Chameera bowled wicket-maidens at the start of the innings and will once again look to pick up early wickets. They will be joined by Matheesha Pathirana in the pace department.
Wanindu Hasaranga is the best spinner of the squad and will have the support of Asalanka in the spin department.
Sri Lanka Expected Playing 11
Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (WK), Kamil Mishara, Kusal Perera, Charith Asalanka (C), Kamindu Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Thushara

Hong Kong
With two losses in as many matches, Hong Kong is struggling at the moment and is on the verge of getting eliminated from the tournament. Also, their NRR is the worst among all teams in the group, so even if they win here, it will be very difficult for them to move to the next stage.
Zeeshan Ali and Anshuman Rath have struggled at the top of the order and could find it difficult to score against Sri Lankaās strong pace attack. Rath in particular has struggled, averaging just two runs. Babar Hayat, Nizakat Khan, and Yasim Murtaza have done a decent job in the middle order, but they need to convert their starts into big knocks.
Also, Hong Kong lacks a quality all-rounder, and that does leave a void in their batting depth. Coming to the bowling, Ateeq Iqbal and Ayush Shukla make up for a strong new-ball pair and have picked up 3 wickets each. They will hope to make early inroads in Sri Lankaās top order.
Hong Kong has plenty of slower bowlers playing for them, but they havenāt been able to take full advantage of the conditions.
Hong Kong Expected Playing 11
Zeeshan Ali (WK), Anshuman Rath, Babar Hayat, Nizakat Khan, Kalhan Challu, Kinchit Shah, Yasim Murtaza (C), Aizaz Khan, Ehsan Khan, Ayush Shukla, Ateeq Iqbal
SL vs HKG Toss Prediction
7 of the last 10 matches played here were won while batting first. However, in only two of those matches, the team winning the toss has opted to bat first. We feel that the trend of chasing will continue.
Pitch Report and Weather Conditions
Dubai has proved to be a difficult venue for the batsmen over the last few matches. The average run rate here is less than 8 runs during the first inning. The seamers can expect help with the new ball, especially if they pitch the ball short. Anything over 170 will be difficult to chase here.
The weather will be clear with no chance of rain and a temperature of around 34 degrees.
SL vs HKG: Who Will Win?
We are backing Sri Lanka to win this match. They are much stronger compared to Hong Kong in all departments and are up for any challenge. Hong Kong lacks experience playing against such strong opponents and is likely to struggle.
Bet on Sri Lanka to win.
SL vs HKG win percentage stands at 94% in favor of SL.
Todays Match Prediction: Sri Lanka to Win.
