PAK vs BAN Betting Tips

Pakistan to Hit a Four or Six in First Over - Yes

This is a market that I found quite interesting. With Fakhar Zaman and a confident Sahibzada Farhan in the lineup, Pakistan is well poised to start aggressively. One good shot or a loose ball or even an edge is enough to get a 50% return on your stake. Well worth the risk.

Neither Team to Lose a Wicket in Over 1

This is another bet where the returns are fantastic in my opinion. A wicket in the first over is not very likely and has only happened in two of the matches in the Asia Cup far. I would go big on this one and hope that Shaheen Shah Afridi is off color a bit!

It is a virtual semi-final as Pakistan takes on Bangladesh for a crucial match in the ongoing Asia Cup. The two teams will clash on Thursday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The winner goes on to play the Final against India while the loser returns home.

In days past, this match might have been seen as an easy one, but the two teams are much closer now. There will be no quarter given.

PAK vs BAN Team Previews

Pakistan

After yet another defeat at the hands of India, Pakistan bounced back on Wednesday to keep their qualification hopes alive. The equation in front of Pakistan is clear: win the match and play the final. Nothing else matters.

Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave the team yet another solid start, and so Pakistan is unlikely to tinker with its top order, with Saim Ayub coming in at number three. While the form of Salman Agha remains a concern lower down the order, Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz put up an impressive partnership in the previous match to see Pakistan through.

Also, with Mohammad Haris and Faheem Ashraf coming lower down the line-up, there is no dearth of batting talent in the Pakistan squad.

The problem for Pakistan has been its middle-order and combating the spinners. This is something that Bangladesh will look to exploit once more.

Pakistan's bowling was very impressive against Sri Lanka. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi make up for a strong new ball pair and have picked up 6 wickets each. Abrar Ahmed bowled an excellent spell on Wednesday, giving away only 8 runs in his 4 overs while also picking up a wicket. He will be joined by Saim Ayub in the spin department.

On paper, Pakistan should win this match. As their fans will know, though, Pakistan has a habit of throwing up surprises (good and bad!).

Pakistan Expected Playing 11

Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Salman Agha (C), Mohammad Haris (WK), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed

Bangladesh

Bangladesh has been rather inconsistent in this tournament, but the win against Sri Lanka in the first match has kept their qualification hopes alive. This will be a virtual semifinal for them. The loss to India was expected but the wholesale changes to their playing eleven was not. Was Bangladesh keeping some players fresh for its match against Pakistan? Maybe.

The opening pair of Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan hasn’t been in the best of form and has failed to convert the starts into big knocks. Tanzid, in particular, is yet to score a half-century, and that has put added pressure on the middle order. Saif followed up his match winning inning against Sri Lanka with another brillianrt performance against India.

Bangladesh has to hope that Litton Das returns and can offer some support in the batting department.

Both Das and Towhid Hridoy have batted well in patches to soak some of that pressure, but a solid start will be vital for Bangladesh. The others in the middle order, including Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossainhave looked out of their depth. The lack of power in the Bangladeshi lower order is also quite apparent to see.

The pace duo of Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed has done well to pick up 12 wickets between them. However, the spin department has struggled a bit, with Rishad Hossain going at close to 8 runs per over.

The spinners from Bangladesh will have to really step up to give them a shot against Pakistan.

Bangladesh Expected Playing 11

Tanzid Hasan, Saif Hassan, Litton Das (C & WK), Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed

PAK vs BAN Toss Prediction

5 of the 8 matches played here in this tournament were won while chasing. In 6 of those games, the team winning the toss opted to field first, and we expect that trend to continue.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The pitch in Dubai is on the slower side, and the batsmen need to work hard to earn the big shots. While there is some pace and bounce on offer during the Powerplay, the middle overs become difficult for the batsmen. The team batting first will look to score 175-180 runs to put the opposition under pressure. The weather is likely to be clear, and there will be some dew during the second half.

PAK vs BAN: Who Will Win?

We are backing Pakistan to win this match. Despite being inconsistent, Pakistan remains a strong side, and with some of the batsmen getting runs under their belt, they should be able to overcome any challenge thrown their way. All signs point to an India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Final!

Bet on Pakistan to win.

PAK vs BAN win percentage stands at 71% in favor of PAK.

Todays Match Prediction: Pakistan to Win.
