India

India has by far been the best team in its group and has remained unbeaten so far after playing three games. They finished at the top of the table in Group A and will look to extend their domination in the Super Four as well.

India boasts of a strong batting line-up that will be led by the opening pair of Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma. Sharma has been hitting the ball well, playing the big shots right from the word go. However, he will look to stay a bit longer and convert his starts into big knocks.

Gill is a solid batsman at the top of the order and is due for a big innings. India’s middle order is sorted as well. Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Sanju Samson are all quality batsmen who can single-handedly take the team to a match-winning score.

The team has some quality all-rounders in the form of Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel, who add depth to the batting.

India is unlikely to make any changes to the bowling line-up that has performed like a well-oiled machine so far. Kuldeep Yadav has been excellent and is the leading wicket-taker for the team. He will be joined by Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel in the spin department.

Pakistan’s performance has been below par this year, and they huffed and puffed their way to the Super Four. However, they will now look to make a fresh start and put up a better performance going ahead.
Saim Ayub has struggled at the top of the order, scoring three ducks in a row. He will be pretty low on confidence and needs to spend some time in the middle before trying to play his shots.

He will be joined by Sahibzada Farhan at the top of the order. The latter played well in the previous match against India and will hope to play in the same manner here as well. The middle order has been a bit inconsistent as well.

While Fakhar Zaman has been the team’s leading run-scorer so far, he has received little support from the likes of Hasan Nawaz, Mohammad Nawaz, and Salman Agha. On the contrary, Shaheen Shah Afridi has batted better compared to them.

Afridi continues to lead the pace department as well, but hasn’t been at his best so far. He could be joined by Haris Rauf with the new ball.
