BAN vs SL Betting Tips
Total fours for Sri Lanka to be under 14.5
The Sri Lankans have some masterful ball-strikers in their lineup from start to finish. They will, however, be tested against one of the better teams in this competition. The team’s previous innings against Bangladesh only produced ten fours. Taking the conservative approach with this bet is probably not a bad idea.
Total runs for Bangladesh after the first two overs to be under 13.5 runs
You should be in with a shout if you take on this bet. Bangladesh could only get to ten runs after two overs when the team last met Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan new-ball bowlers are likely to get the ball swinging early too. The lack of batting depth could force them to be a bit more conservative.

This is a format where individuals stepping up can make a huge difference. On paper, Bangladesh arguably has more game-changing players currently performing well. This could mean an excellent opportunity to bet on the underdog here.

BAN vs SL Team Previews
Bangladesh
Left-handers Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan bring early six-hitting intent in the powerplay. Hasan ended his T20I series against Netherlands with an unbeaten 54 runs. Skipper-keeper Litton Das sets the tempo after the opening pair, especially with a half-century in his game against Hong Kong.
In the middle, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain headline the power game and intent to clear the ropes more often. Hridoy can play the situation, which he showed with a calm 35 not out in his last innings.
Bangladesh is certainly not a strong batting lineup but it has shown a bit more intent lately and that is something that should pay dividends.
Mahedi Hasan’s all-round value is pivotal as an economical powerplay off-spinner who can float in the batting order. The spin X-factor is provided by Rishad Hossain. He is a reliable leg-spinner that the side has craved for a while. He brought up 50 T20I wickets against Hong Kong.
The pace unit looks rounded with Taskin Ahmed’s hit-the-deck hostility setting the tone. Tanzim Hasan Sakib’s wicket-threatening lengths squeeze the middle. The pair showed its value with two wickets each in the last game. Mustafizur Rahman remains a proven death-overs specialist with slower ball disguise and cutters.
A superb bowling attack suited to the conditions is where Bangladesh can really make an impact in this match. Especially if they have a decent score to defend.
Bangladesh Expected Playing 11
Parvez Hossain Emon, Tanzid Hasan, Litton Das (c/wk), Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman

Sri Lanka
Pathum Nissanka remains their steady hand up top, though his more measured approach, with a T20I strike rate of 123.10, may put pressure on the scoring rate. Kusal Mendis remains erratic. His last two scores against Bangladesh were six and eight runs. His shots will be eye-catching but has found himself to be prone to soft dismissals.
The inclusion of Kamil Mishara feels experimental, given that he is relatively new to the team. The once-explosive Kusal Perera has struggled to find the same spark he once had. Captain Charith Asalanka shoulders major responsibility, both as a run-scorer and leader. He will have a tough burden to carry this tournament. He only got to 19 runs across two T20I innings in Harare.
The middle order of Kamindu Mendis and Dasun Shanaka is high on potential but has been low on outcome recently. Mendis’ previous innings was a duck.
Matheesha Pathirana brings raw pace but can struggle to contain runs in the death overs. Dushmantha Chameera’s persistent injury worries, and Binura Fernando's lack of penetration in the powerplay may not give the pace battery too much hope.
Sri Lanka's T20 team looks unsettled and we don't see the value in paying for their favorites tag. In fact, we think they are ripe to be taken down by an ever-improving Bangladesh lineup.
Sri Lanka Expected Playing 11
Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Kamil Mishara, Kusal Perera, Charith Asalanka (c), Kamindu Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Dushan Hemantha, Matheesha Pathirana, Dushmantha Chameera, Binura Fernando
BAN vs SL Toss Prediction
Batting second has been the more successful modus operandi, particularly in three of the past four games between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka’s previous two T20I victories have come while chasing.
Pitch Report and Weather Conditions
This pitch in Abu Dhabi should bring plenty of runs. There is likely to be plenty of run-scoring opportunities once the pitch settles and the effect of the swinging new ball wears off. The average first-innings score in this year’s ILT20 at the venue was 171.
Matchday weather is forecasted to be blistering hot at nearly 40 degrees Celsius with plenty of humidity too. The chance of rain is only four percent.
BAN vs SL: Who Will Win?
The Sri Lankans have proven that they are vulnerable after being rolled for 80 all out while touring in Zimbabwe. The Bangladesh hot streak of wins in T20I cricket this year looks set to continue based on their own current form and that of the opposition.
Bet on Bangladesh to win.
BAN vs SL win percentage stands at 60% in favor of SL.
