Gurbaz has been one of the most consistent batters for Afghanistan. He has scored 292 runs in his last ten games with an average of 29.2.
You can bet again on this remarkable leggie to top the bowling figures. He bowled well in the last game and has picked up nineteen scalps in his previous ten games.
As expected, Afghanistan men leveled the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at 1-1 just a while ago. There is everything to play for in the last game of the series, scheduled for tomorrow. This third and final contest of the series will be played at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe. In this article, let's look at this contest's pitch report, betting tips, match preview, and match prediction.
The Afghanistan team has played against the Zimbabwe team on 17 occasions before this in the T20I format. Afghans lead this head-to-head 15-2. They also won the last match they played against Zimbabwe.
This game will not be available on TV for Indian cricket enthusiasts. However, viewers can enjoy the contest on the FanCode site and app.
After registering a couple of wins against Pakistan and Afghanistan, Zimbabwe faltered in their last attempt, losing to Afghanistan. In the recently concluded second game of the T20I series, the Afghanistan team batted first to raise a score of 153 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Then, Afghan bowlers did an excellent restriction job over Zimbabwe, bowling them out for 103 runs to register an easy 50-run win. Brian Bennett remains the main threat for the Zimbabwe opposition near the top of the order.
Bennett has scored 331 runs in his last ten games with an average of 33.1. He was also among the runs in the previous game. The Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza has also done a great job with the bat in recent games, scoring 304 runs in his last ten games with an average of 43.43. He is scoring these runs with an excellent strike rate of 172.72.
Sikandar Raza has also done well with the ball, picking up 11 wickets from his last nine games with an economy rate of 16.36. Richard Ngarava has picked up 14 wickets from his last ten matches with a strike rate of 14.42.
Everyone expected Afghanistan to return to the series, and they did. After enduring a couple of losses in their last two matches, they handed a 50-run beating to the hosts, Zimbabwe. Afghanistan has several established batters in its middle order.
Darwish Rasooli surprised everybody with a 42-ball 58 that made the score respectable. Azmatullah Omarzai and Gulbadin Naib chipped in with cameos to take Afghanistan to a good total in the second game of the series.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz has done well in recent games for Afghanistan, with 292 runs from his last ten games at an average of 29.2. Another significant batter for the Afghans is Azmatullah Omarzai. He contributed to the Afghanistan score in the previous contest and is likely to come good again here.
The Afghan leggie Rashid Khan will once again lead the bowling charge for Afghanistan. He has picked up 19 wickets from 10 appearances in his last game with a strike rate of 11.68. The pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has also picked up 19 wickets in the previous ten matches with an even better strike rate of 10.94.
Both these bowlers picked up three wickets each in their last game.
The pitch at the Harare Sports Club is generally beneficial to the batters. It will remain true for the entire duration of the contest. Although the side batting first won the last match played here, you can expect the captain that wins the toss to field first.
The average score batting first at the Harare Sports Clun is 153 runs. The Afghanistan team put up a similar total in the second game of the series and won the game. This is the third match of the series at this venue, and if the wickets crack up, the Afghan spinners will be tricky to handle in the second inning.
We expect patchy rain during the game, possibly bringings the D/L equation into the picture.
Both these teams have endured an average year in the T20I format. But man-to-man, Afghanistan has a better team. Sure, Zimbabwe is playing at home, and the partisan crowd can influence a team's performance, but overall, Afghanistan is more likely to win this game and pocket the series 2-1.
Bet on Afghanistan to win.
