Perera is averaging 59.00 in the 5 matches he has played this season. He has scored 14 or more runs in 4 of those games including 2 half-centuries. Seeing his form, Perera could play another good knock in this game.
Only 1 of the last 8 games played here this season have seen 9 or more wickets fall. We are therefore expecting a similar trend to continue.
The Delhi Bulls will look to strengthen its place on the points table as they take on the New York Strikers on Friday. The two teams will faceoff at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
The two teams have faced each other in 2 matches to date and the Strikers have won both those games.

The New York Strikers have alternated between a win and a loss throughout the season and have managed to win 3 of the 6 matches they have played. Since this is the last group-stage match for them, they have to win here if they want to remain in the race for the playoffs.
Kusal Perera has been in good form with the bat this year and has scored 2 half-centuries in his 5 innings. His knock of 74 runs on Thursday was one of the key reasons for their win against the Northern Warriors. He is likely to be joined by Dewald Brevis in the opening slot.
The middle order has been one of the weak links for the team. Donovan Ferreira, Kieron Pollard, and Asif Ali have all been unable to play a big knock so far. The bowling hasn’t been consistent as well.
Matheesha Pathirana, who is the strike bowler for the team, has managed to pick up just 1 wicket so far. He will be joined by Reece Topley and Doug Bracewell in the seam department while Akeal Hosein and Sunil Narine are the two spinners.
The Delhi Bulls haven’t been consistent so far but have done enough to claim the 6th place on the table. However, there is still plenty of work to do if they want to go through to the playoffs.
James Vince and Tom Banton gave the team a strong start in the last match and will hope to do so again. Vince has been the most consistent batsman for the team and has scored 118 runs. Skipper Rovman Powell did score a half-century earlier in the series but has since seen a dip in form.
He will need to play well if the Bulls want to keep their qualification hopes alive. The all-rounders, Tim David and Shadab Khan have also struggled. The bowlers have fared slightly better in comparison. Shahid Bhutta remains the team’s leading wicket-taker and will be joined by Muhammad Rohid with the new ball.
Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naveen ul Haq have struggled though. The spin attack isn’t the best either.
The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.
The pitch at Abu Dhabi is balanced. The batsmen will be able to play their shots as the ball comes onto the bat. However, since the venue has hosted plenty of matches in the last couple of weeks, there are quite a few rough spots on the surface that the bowlers can exploit. Anything over 120 could be difficult to chase.
The weather will be clear with temperatures of around 25 degrees.
Both teams have been a bit inconsistent and will be desperate for a win here. Seeing their recent performances, we feel that the New York Strikers have a slight edge.
Bet on the New York Strikers to win.
