After an excellent performance in the Test series, South Africa will look to stamp its authority on the T20 format as well, as Zimbabwe hosts it for the first T20 of the tri-series this Monday.
Keeping an eye on the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in the Indian subcontinent next year, South Africa has planned to increase its bench strength by bringing in fresh talent from the domestic pool.
The likes of Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Rubin Hermann have played well in the SA20 and earned their maiden call-up on the international stage. Zimbabwe on the other hand has decided to stick with a tested combination as it looks to make the most out of home conditions.

There are no reports of injuries from either side.
The surface at the Harare Sports Club is likely to be dry and dusty, and the bowlers, particularly the spinners, are likely to have the upper hand here. The batsmen will have to wait for the right balls to play their shots and scoring runs isn’t easy here. The average first-inning score here is around 150 and chasing anything over 170-180 will be difficult.
The weather will remain clear with pleasant temperatures and no forecast for rain.
Lhuan-dre Pretorius is our choice here. He is likely to make his international debut here but is coming in the back of some excellent performances in the SA20.
Rassie van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks are known for their explosive brand of batting and have made it to our team. We are also selecting Brian Bennett here.
There are plenty of all-rounders to choose from on both sides. We are including Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burl, Corbin Bosch, and George Linde.
Since three of our all-rounders are slower bowlers, we are going for three full-time seamers in this category Lungi Ngidi, Gerald Coetzee, and Blessing Muzarabani.
We are selecting Rassie van der Dussen as the captain of our team. He is one of the most experienced batsmen in the team and could go on and play an important role here.
Sikandar Raza is Zimbabwe’s most prolific all-rounder in recent years and has a lot of experience playing in these conditions.
Since we are expecting a balanced surface for this match, we have given equal weightage to batsmen and bowlers in our team. Fortunately, there are quite a few good all-rounders playing from both sides, and selecting them will bring balance to the side. We reckon that the bowlers could play an important role in this match and therefore advise you to select a strong bowling lineup.
Rubin Hermann has 365 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 73 points per game.
Rubin Hermann (205), Lhuan-dre Pretorius (169), Rassie van der Dussen (165)
Blessing Muzarabani (9), Trevor Gwandu (8), Richard Ngarava (7)
