With just one more week to go before the group stages in Major League Cricket end, we are in for an exciting contest as the Texas Super Kings take on MI New York on Sunday. Texas has been a bit inconsistent but has done enough to stay in third place and is most likely to qualify for the playoffs.
That will leave 3 teams vying for the 4th place on the table. While New York is currently leading the pack, it is ahead just because of a better NRR and needs to create some cushion by winning this match.

There are no reports of injuries from either side
The pitch at Dallas is likely to be good to bat on. The surface is flat and hard and offers good pace and bounce. There is very little swing through the air and the spinners too haven’t got much help from the surface. The short boundaries and quick outfield make it easy for the batsmen to score runs.
The weather will remain clear and there is no chance of rain.
We are selecting Quinton de Kock and Nicholas Pooran here. While de Kock has played well throughout the season, Pooran scored a century in the previous game and seems to have regained some form.
Monank Patel is the top choice here as he has been pretty consistent. We are also going with Kieron Pollard and Faf du Plessis given their vast experience.
There are some good all-rounders in both teams but barring Bracewell, none of them have performed to their full potential. Nevertheless, we are also picking Marcus Stoinis and Donovan Ferreria.
Since the bowlers have had limited success here, we are selecting only Noor Ahmad and Trent Boult.
We are selecting Michael Bracewell as the captain of our team. He has been one of the best all-rounders in the league and has played some impressive knocks. He is also a quality spinner.
While he hasn’t been in the best of forms, we are opting for Nicholas Pooran as the vice-captain. He scored a century in the previous game and if he plays with the same intensity, he could post yet another big score.
Our playing XI is skewed heavily in the favor of batsmen. The Grand Prairie Stadium has produced plenty of runs this year and as both teams have some good strikers, we have tried to select as many as we could. The all-rounders haven’t performed well and have therefore limited our choices. The bowlers haven’t had the best of times and only two find a place in our team.
Monank Patel has 461 points in the last 5 matches at an average of 92 points per game.
Monank Patel (287), Faf du Plessis (214), Quinton de Kock (211)
Noor Ahmad (10), Adam Milne (9), Naveen ul-Haq (8)
Faf du Plessis (13), Monank Patel (12), Nicholas Pooran (10)
Tajinder Singh (198.27), Donovan Ferreria (190.90), Kieron Pollard (189.85)
Adam Milne (6.77), Zia ul-Haq (7.82), Nandre Burger (8.19)
