The Washington Freedom are already through to the finals and we are now waiting to know who will join them in Sunday’s finale.
The Texas Super Kings have been pretty consistent throughout the season and are fully deserving of that spot. They had a 50% chance of making it but the rain gods had other plans. MI New York won the inaugural edition of the MLC and will hope to repeat that feat yet again. They have some of the best players in the business but they will hope to perform better as a unit.

There are no reports of injuries from either side
While the matches played here during the group stages were pretty high-scoring, the rains over the past week have brought in moisture and the bowlers are likely to have a skin in the game as well. We are expecting a balanced pitch with something in it for everyone.
The weather is expected to clear out for this match as while there may be some clouds, there is no forecast for rain.
We are selecting Quinton de Kock as he has been among the most consistent batsmen for New York this season. Nicholas Pooran also makes it due to his brilliant track record in the T20 format.
Faf du Plessis and Monank Patel are the top two run-getters of the season and are automatic choices. We are also selecting Michael Bracewell thanks to his all-round ability.
Kieron Pollard and Marcus Stoinis are among the best all-rounders in the league and we are selecting them for the playing XI. Donovan Ferreria has also chipped in with some valuable knocks.
We are going with two seamers in the form of Trent Boult and Adam Milne. Noor Ahmed is the specialist spinner.
We are selecting Faf du Plessis as the captain of our team. He has been in excellent form of late and also has a good record at the Grand Prairie Stadium.
We are going with Kieron Pollard as the vice-captain of the team. He is among the most experienced players in the league and has contributed with the bat and the ball this season.
While we have selected a batting-heavy team for the past matches at this venue, we have taken a balanced approach this time around. The rains have brought in the bowlers into the mix as well and we have selected a bowling lineup that has equal weightage of spinners and seamers. That said, we still believe that once a batsman settles down, he could go on to play a big knock.
Adam Milne has 563 points from the last 5 matches at an average of 112 points per game.
Faf du Plessis (409), Monank Patel (401), Quinton de Kock (290)
Adam Milne (14), Noor Ahmad (14), Trent Boult (13)
Faf du Plessis (26), Kieron Pollard (19), Donovan Ferreria (18)
Donovan Ferreria (225.00), Faf du Plessis (175.53), Kieron Pollard (173.07)
Akeal Hosein (5.00), Adam Milne (6.67), George Linde (7.36)
